We had an incredible stay at the guest house. The house itself is both spacious and cozy. It was perfect for a getaway for three couples. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating when we added the third couple after making the reservation (only a $15 charge for additional guests). Everything we needed in terms of dishes, appliances, games, etc. was easy to find. In the mornings we got to visit with the emus and goats! The location is amazing! We went to Hurricane Ridge one day and Lake Crescent the next. We had to lovely dinners in Port Angeles. We were a little sad that Granny’s Cafe was closed for the season, but the hosts provided other great suggestions. We definitely recommend the guest house for your next trip to the peninsula.

Loved the house. Perfect for us. Only thing was it had a lot of dust and cob webs. Felt like it had been empty for awhile.

We had a great time the 2 nights we were staying here. The guest house had pretty much everything we needed to take care of our toddler twins which was a huge plus for us. The house feels really homey and is thoughtfully decorated. Each room is unique and cozy in its own way and very spacious. We were able to fit 2 toddler air mattresses in the main bedroom with plenty of space around it still. If you need anything during your stay they’re just a text away and respond promptly to you. The kids also loved the chickens that were running around and visited the goats and emus with the grandparents. We didn’t get to eat the cafe unfortunately as the opening hours didn’t work out with our activities but if we are back in the area we will have some ice cream at least :) One small note I have is to maybe consider replacing the buttons on the microwave. We were cooking and the smoke alarm went off because we couldn’t turn on the fan as the buttons were broken. But again it’s just a small thing I noticed. Definitely would recommend for a getaway with a bigger group too!

We really enjoyed our stay here! One of the few places around with AC. The location was great and the home was big and very comfortable for my family. Extremely spacious! The host was very nice and easily accessible. The home had many amnesties in the kitchen and bathrooms. Private fences in back yard. Everything was clean. Grannies restaurant just a couple steps away, but they don’t open until 11am so have some groceries on hand if you are used to having breakfast and coffee at an earlier time.

This was a great location for exploring Olympic National Park. My kids (ages 10, 8, and 8) loved the animals. (Feeding the chickens was a highlight the day we arrived.) The interior of the Guest House was well-kept and well-appointed. It had more than what we needed to have a comfortable stay. We will definitely consider staying here again if we ever return to the area.

The Olympic House is a clean, nicely-decorated, vacation rental that once existed as a motel office. The motel rooms have been converted to “cottages”. Once inside the Olympic House, there are no signs that you are actually in a former roadside motel. Instead, you are in a comfy home with well thought-out decor and a kitchen stocked with all of the tools that you will need for your stay. When the host describes the Olympic House as “right off Highway 101”, it is a very accurate description. Cars and trucks traveling 60+ mph can be heard 24/7 making it difficult to get a good night of sleep while staying in the house. When lying in any one of the beds, you are physically approximately 80 feet from the Highway 101. Earplugs are generously provided on every bedside table. The discomfort of not sleeping well while staying in this house was alleviated by the beauty of Olympic National Park, the well-stocked kitchen (thank you for the Peet’s coffee), and the friendliness of the hosts and the staff at Granny’s Cafe. If I could do it all over again, I would stay just two nights rather than four. It’s disappointing to go on vacation and return home feeling exhausted.

The inside of the property lives up to its photos and was a comfortable, clean and perfectly appointed home base for exploring Lake Crescent, the beaches of La Push, ONP and port Angeles/Sequim. We enjoyed a couple of delicious meals at Granny’s Cafe and having soft serve and farm animals on-site was a bonus for all. John, our host, was kind and attentive in all the right ways. We will look forward to returning!
