This place is rustic, but has potential. No communication from host as to how to get in. I tried emailing the host via VRBO, calling, and texting. After texting I got the code to get in and the wifi. You have to have your own water to drink and cook with. It is well water without a filter for getting useable water. The well water has a potent smell and taste of iron. There aren't any curtains in the back of the house and the roll up curtains in one of the bedrooms aren't great. The furniture is old, stained and uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable and the linen was white and new. The gazebo was an added bonus along with the deck in front that is as long as the house. There is a huge fire pit that you can grill on, and a little sandy spot to wade in the water. The kitchen area and bathroom sinks are updated and that's about it. There is a big yard for games.

Overall a very nice place to stay with a great view of the lake and very comfortable beds. We were there to fish out of our boat so I would just like to note that the dock isn't in good shape and the water level is too low at the dock to park a boat. Also, the drive into the property is quite tricky with a boat trailer and turning around is also a chore. If you're looking for a place to relax lakeside in a nice setting this place is great but if you bring a boat be prepared to launch in and out each time you use it.

A quaint and spacious cabin. Old school charm mixed with modern upgrades gives the cabin a cozy feel. 5 stars on how clean it was! We enjoyed being able to watch the sunset from the yard and the small sandy beach. Close to many boat landings for the fishermen in our crew.
