Very cute cottage on Pine Lake. Beautiful setting with great views. The interior is sparkling clean, very neat. Kitchen new and modern. There is a combined living room/kitchen with two large and comfortable couches, two bedrooms, a bath, and a laundry room. Each major room has an air conditioner. Doors, drawers, cabinets operate smoothly. There is an enclosed porch with a long picnic table. Outside that is a deck with grill, lawn chairs, fire pit. (Unfortunately I could not get the grill to light.) There is a dock on the water (which is a channel leading out to the lake). There is a very large grass lawn between house and road. Very nice (and quiet!) neighborhood, I took many walks along the roads along the lake. Host was extremely responsive which was greatly appreciated. Only downsides: - Wifi did not work during most of our visit, something seemed to be misconfigured. The host gave us a credit. - The water is quite rusty (not sure if the house's pipes or some issue with public water). My legs were tinged with orange and my toes yellow. Not a big deal, but bring bottled water.
Plenty of outdoor space, added bonus they provided yard games. The screened in porch had a picnic table so plenty of room for everyone to sit together during dinner. Very peaceful at night and the location is close to town. The host was amazing, very responsive Would absolutely stay here again!!
We did have to tidy up a little when we got there. Dirty countertops, and had to sweep the floor. Other than that our stay was great. Such a cute, quiet location!
Our group consisted of my husband, our three teenage kids, and a couple of their friends. We wanted a place on the water with a pier for our boat, and this place fit the bill. Although only 2 bedrooms, it has a great kitchen/family combo room, and then an awesome screened-in porch. It's a large lot with lots of space for yard games (which were provided). It was clean and had what we needed. Zach was super responsive. We had no issues - quiet spot with very friendly neighbors who helped in a pinch (we are new boat owners). All in all, a great 4th of July was had! We would go back for sure.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, quiet but close to everything. The property is spacious enough for a short getaway. The owner was nice and quick to respond to questions. However, we did encounter a few inconveniences: There's no central AC and given that this is a popular summer destination, that should probably be more clearly stated in the description. There was no extra toilet paper, paper towels, or hand soap provided. Luckily we brought our own, but in our previous experience staying at other properties, extras of these were always available on site. The insides of cabinets, grill, outdoor table, etc were not very clean and we to do quite a bit of cleaning on our own prior to settling in and using everything. The kitchen equipment was a bit lacking compared to our past experiences with similar properties. One cutting board was small and warped, one was very slick and dangerous to cut on. The big kitchen knife was completely dull and unusable. The frying pans weren't in the best shape either, but worked ok for our short stay. I had also reached out prior to booking to confirm the size of the two beds in one of the bedrooms and was told they are both Queens. However, when we got there we realized they were both Full size. Again, not the end of the world, but not exactly what we were hoping for. Overall, a decent stay, but some improvements could be made.
Cute vintage cottage on an inlet that leads to lakes on both sides. Nice sized lot with plenty of usable (flat) ground for yard games. Private dock with launch area next to it, although we couldn't tell if launch area belonged to this house or the neighbors, and someone had a trailer parked in it the whole time. There was enough room to slip a kayak by. Fire ring and plenty of outdoor seating was available. Screened-in room off the back of the house with long picnic table was fantastic on one of the days that the weather wasn't good, we were still able to feel like we were sitting outside without getting rained on. There are actually 2 large sofas in the living room, the pictures only show one. The only suggestions I would make are: if you're going to have more than 4 people or don't want to constantly wash dishes, bring along a couple of extra coffee mugs- there are only 4 teacups in kitchen. Also, the water has a bit of a rusty smell and taste- I'm assuming this is well water? We're used to city municipal water, so I'm not sure. You might want to bring some bottled water. Area felt very safe and next door neighbors were friendly and kept to themselves. There are stores and restaurants within easy driving distance. This was a lovely property and we would return.
Overall a good experience, but upon arriving there was visible dog hair in the living room and kitchen. The bathroom was also not completely clean. Not the end of the world, I just did some quick cleaning.
We had the best time staying here! Zach was super helpful and promptly replied to all of our questions. Everyone in the neighborhood and town were incredibly friendly. We spent the week relaxing outside by the lake. It was truly the perfect vacation!
The house is perfectly located on a very quiet and peaceful corner lot with plenty of privacy. The lake was very enjoyable for boating and swimming. It was slightly inconvenient that we couldn’t use the boat launch we planned on, but we found the marina and our stay was smooth after that. I loved the peacefulness of the back yard. Would stay again.
This cottage is super cute, and looks exactly like the pictures. The owner was super helpful and quick to respond with any questions. The property has a huge lot of land directly next to it, which is great for any outdoor activities. The cottage is dog friendly, which is a huge plus for us because we got to bring our cute little pup. The dog loved swimming in the water and running around in the open land. The cottage is right on the chanel, so you can swim right there if you wanted to. There is also a private dock there so if you rented a boat, you can easily dock it right by the property. We went for the 4th of July, which was an awesome area to celebrate the holiday. There was a huge firework show for the 3rd and 4th of July. We had the best view of the firework show as well. All the neighbors were super friendly. If you want to rent a boat, I would recommend renting from Pine Lake Rentals. Ask for Ida, she is the owner of the company. They were very nice and helpful. The boats were basically brand new and super clean. This place was so awesome. They even gave me a discount. We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend renting this place! We will most likely be back again!
It was great staying here. The owner was super responsive.
