The location of this house makes it even better. You are in a nice quiet neighborhood. Good for kids. Short walk to the shore line, with beach area that is AWESOME! The local deer are in abundance in the neighborhood. First night, 4 walked right passed the porch. Beautiful! The house is nice. Few upgrades would make it better. The master shower head needs to be changed. And a door needs to be put on the master bathroom instead of curtain. It has a pocket door, but it’s broken. But with some “ jiggling” we managed to make it work. The kitchen has the necessities but “ cooking” for a family, requires some things from home. Nothing crazy! Just mixing bowls, Tupperware and flat baking sheets are needed. But honestly the house is a great choice! We will be back next year even if they don’t upgrade the shower head!
The property was quaint, clean, and comfortable. It’s an older house and somewhat dated, but we thought this added to the charm and character of a house near the lake. Everything needed to cook meals was provided. The WiFi worked well. The two televisions with Roku worked well, but we rarely used them during the stay. We really appreciated the central AC as it was in the 90’s during our stay. The close walk to the lake was nice and we enjoyed swimming and the use of the kayaks and stand-up paddle board. Overall this was a great stay and was not far from the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds where other members of our family were camping. The drive into Hiawassee for shopping and dining was convenient as well. Would definitely stay here again!
All enjoyed our stay and the beautiful lake.
Great little cottage in a beautiful community on Lake Chatuge. Great for families who like fishing and boating. House keeping prior to our arrival left a lot to be desired though. Especially given the cleaning fees that are required. I would probably bring your own amenities & cleaning supplies as these things are in limited supply if you stay more than a couple days. All things considered though we would stay there again.
This was a perfect spot to stay in with lake access as well as access to kayaks and a paddle board. The house is very cute and a great size for a family trip or a friend’s getaway trip. The house had everything we needed and was easy to access. Our customer contact was amazing at answering all my questions and was super nice as well. I would definitely stay here again.
