We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed skipping rocks on the river and the wonderful country views.
This is not a single-family residence (one home) on a 2 acre property. This property has two separate dwellings on it, one home, and a duplex. The listing depicts, a white home with yellow columns, however, this building is not even visible when entering the property, and all you see, is a single home, not referenced in any of the instructions or entry, directions, and a grey tin-siding covered storage building at the back of the property. This qualifies as a material representation of the listing. Safety issue: All of the codes for entering any of the dwellings on the property are the same. No family (or their belongings) is safe or secure at this property. After notifying Vacasa of the problems. their staff told us to collect our belongings and leave. We departed within 12 hours of check-in. By the time we had driven the entire way home (3hours) with only 30 minutes to spare, a property manager supervisor contacted us offering to charge us for staying in another dwelling. Despite claiming the material misrepresentation in the listing, and submitting a refund request. Vacasa refused our refund. Never book Vacasa properties again.
Perfect hangout with my 2 adult sons for a Guys Weekend. Enjoyed sitting around fire pit at night catching up on life.
we did this last minute as an instant booking for Fourth of July weekend. I assumed with instant booking it was just that but I was wrong. since this property is managed by a secondary management company you have to go through two sets of companies to do everything. VRBO Does not tell you that you should be expecting a whole other set of booking verifications from another company before you will be able to access the property. when you finally go through all their booking process they will then tell you how to access the property. you pull up to the property and there’s a gate it looks like it has a punch code. There is no documentation on the punch code or if she should just push through the gate as there is another house. once that was settled with two hours of back-and-forth we didn’t get checked into the property until almost 6pm 2 hours after the check in time. because there are no curtains on the windows the sun was barreling down through the windows directly on the AC thermostat therefore the thermostat could not cool down the house. We had immediately tried calling both VRBO and the management company But we had no cell service and had to drive into town. we gave them the information and sent pictures. By 8pm it was still 80° in the house. I followed up with management again with pictures no response. I took my kids down to the water to see if we could cool off there but the water was stagnant with horrible mosquitoes and if you step in it you will sink in the mud so it is not ideal to get in. we had to go to the local store to purchase fans for the night. The next morning we contacted the management company and VRBO to tell them we were leaving after the 1 day this was ridiculous and asked if there was any special check out things we needed to do they said no and we left at 11:30am. I called several hours later and asked for a refund but was told a maintenance man finally showed up about 3pm and said the AC was running. I explained to them yes it was running but it was not cooling down. they said because the maintenance man said it was running they would not refund for the nights we did not use. I showed them again pictures of the AC unit with the time on and the temperature as well as how many calls I had made and they wait till we leave before they send somebody out that didn’t make sense. they kept arguing back-and-forth They finally gave me one night refund
