Welcome to our charming and cozy home in the heart of Bozeman. Whether you are traveling for pleasure or business you have chosen the perfect place. This home is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to both midtown and downtown, bike/walking paths, numerous eateries, galleries, and shops.
We take pride in anticipating what our guests will need, and enjoy while staying in our home. Have a wonderful night's sleep in our comfor-pedic queen bed that is adjustable or our lofted twin bed, with extra blankets, & down pillows. Start your morning with a shower with extra linens, shampoo, conditioner. Then enjoy a cup of coffee & breakfast in the kitchen. If you happen to run out of clean clothes there is a washer and dryer, detergent and fabric stain removal provided. There is also a comfy sofa in the living room to relax on after a long day of fishing and site seeing around the area.
This is our primary home that we make available while away. Most of our belongings will stay, so storage space is limited. However with this being our primary home the amenities are abundant. We have TONS of board games and childrens toys and books to read. The kitchen is fully stocked from a blender to a toaster oven, a waffle maker to an instapot, a food processor to a muffin tin. Our home is your home!
This was a nice house overall. Very warm while -5 deg. outside! House was very clean and tidy. Beds were most comfortable. But...... No TV or capability for music. Not a dealbreaker, but surprising. The nice warmth came at a price as the heating system is very noisy. Awakened during the night regularly. But the big thing was as follows; This home is the owners' primary residence, with a small apartment attached, which we believe is where they stayed (we think) during our stay in the main house. We could hear conversation from there, which meant of course that they could hear ours as well. That made for an uncomfortable, not relaxing atmosphere. It made us feel as though we were intruding in their home. Hence the 2 star rating. Neighbor noise we can find at any motel.
Received a call from the owner the morning of the day I was to arrive - that they couldn't vacate the house due to a sickness. She did offer another apartment, which is a studio size, further away. She did ask what I would like to do, and I asked for half off the rate and cleaning fee, as it was a smaller place. After talking to her, I did a bit more research on how far it might be to downtown Bozeman, as that's why I booked the original house - convenient location and not having a car on this trip. I did find that it was a 10-minute drive to downtown and about a $15-20 Uber/Lyft ride each way. This apartment is located in a new section of complexes near Target and some hotels. One day, I did decide to walk to downtown Bozeman, and it's a one-hour walk. Fortunately, I did have some friends staying in downtown Bozeman, so I would pack a day bag and store it at their rental, so I didn't have to pay for rideshare many times a day. She did have me, as there were hardly any other options for the holiday weekend (Labor Day), so I was essentially stuck to accept this. After further research, I should've called VRBO first to discuss the cancellation, as it looks like this happens often - day-of cancellations to rent a home at a higher price.
