Cozy home in a quiet area near the sea with FREE WIFI

We were a family of 7 that stayed for a weekend. The house is beautiful and has everything it promised. The owners were very responsive, and we greatly enjoyed our time. The property is beautiful, but the garden needs a lot of upkeep. The bed next to the pool was very old and dirty, and there was a tree that kept shedding little yellow flowers into the garden and pool. The owner tried to clean it before the check-in in but it kept shedding flowers constantly. Many doors do not fit well and cannot be locked (including the main door to the property). Only one TV worked, and only sometimes (antenna signal may be the issue). The central AC works well, but it is controlled centrally, so it gets hot upstairs while downstairs is very cold. Other than these, the house is beautifully decorated and we really enjoyed staying there.

Had a great time here, very quiet area away from the city which is a plus and minus as the taxis in the area where very unreliable. But regardless the place was great for a getaway, chilled by the pool most days and just enjoyed the sun. Would go back!

The pictures do not show how really nice this house is. Super clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. The owner was very attentive and suick to solve problems.

The property is dreamy. It has everything you will be looking for and more. Grocery is about 6 min away by car so you’re isolated but not 100% (which for me is perfect). Jaime was very accommodating and helpful, when there was a problem he replied very quickly and help as soon as possible. Now the bad parts… - We didn’t have hot water for the 2.5 days we were there; I contacted Jaime and he brought a new butane bottle but unfortunately that only helped for 2 showers, some ended up going to their houses to shower as it looked like the problem was not the butane and it was a holiday so we didn’t ask Jaime to call a technician - It was very cold at the house, downstairs, even though AC was connected - One of the upstairs bathroom had a not working cistern/tank - Downstairs bathroom (beside kitchen), the light was very tricky and sometimes didn’t work - There was not enough toilet paper for a 2.5 stay, nor there was kitchen towel paper at all. We had to buy - There were no kitchen cloths at all - 2 of the kitchen stools and 1 kitchen chair were about to break so we put them aside as it was very dangerous Overall it was a ok stay but there are things to be fixed and improved.

5 guys for one week. The house is about 1,5 km from supermarket. And 2-2,5 from harbour. We took taxies to the city. But a great week, a great house and a great host.

Everything that we could want from the accommodation. The location is quiet but close enough to the town and beaches. The town od sanat Pola is peaceful and ideal if you don't want the busyness of resorts like Alicante or Benidorm. I would highly recommend a stay.

The villa is spacious with plenty of room and equipment for 6 adults. The host was very obliging on our arrival and gave us lots of useful information about the area. He was easily contactable when required. The villa is in need of a some 'TLC' for example broken curtain rails, lightbulbs need changing, in particular the outside space needs some attention. There are crumbling steps in a couple of areas, unsafe wooden slates and 'tired' areas. The pool needs a complete overall before the start of next season. The villa is in a quiet undeveloped part of Santa Pola and although we don't mind walking, it is a good 40 minutes to the outskirts of the town and involves crossing a major road. This wasn't made that clear in the location description. We definatley recommend a car. Overall we were a little disappointed by the standard.

The villa itself was adequate for our needs but on arrival discovered the jacuzzi was full of mosquito larvae and mosquitos in the lower part of the house meant that the games room and the 2 beds available there were unusable, meaning we had to double up in the bedrooms. The pool is in urgent need of refurbishment as the liner is ripped round the side and in the shallow end it is wrinkled and leaves blue paint on you feet and legs. The outside area is also in serious need of cleaning up . The wooden trim on the steps leading up to the veranda are in bad repair and coming away from the step itself. The decking also needs replacing as some are broken and loose causing a trip hazard especially for the younger children. The kitchen is also lacking in basics such as sharp kitchen knives and serving bowls. We were given 1 towel each which we had to launder ourselves for the 10 days we stayed. The three drawers on the fridge freezer were alll broken and had never been replaced. This was pointed out to the owner on our arrival but nothing was done to fix this issue. The air conditioning was not efficient enough and in some rooms did not work or would switch itself off leaving the rooms very uncomfortable. You do need a car as the villa is well away from any amenities, this should be advised. It takes 40 minutes to walk to the beach and the nearest supermarket is a Carrefour express about 25 minutes walk away. For the money paid I do not think it was up to standard and the whole place is in need of an upgrade. Sadly dissaponted.

We had a lovely time at the villa it was very well equipped but a few things need to be updated. The pool requires a new lining as it's a bit damaged and the air conditioning upstairs is not the best but overall it's a very nice place. You would definitely need a car because it is a good 30 minute walk to local bars and shops. The beach is another 5 minute walk on again. There are only a small number of houses around the area and it is very quiet. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday.

House is excellent, genuine 5 bedrooms, TV's and cracking front room but there were issues: • Hot tub did not work when we arrived and was not resolved by the time we left. • The pool could have been cleaner and outside could be better maintained. The pool was not an issue because it is too cold this time of year, but you do expect outside garden to also be of a high standard as that is a major selling point on a summer holiday. Everyone wants to be outside in nice weather. With regards to everything else, about a 1/2 mile from everything but we liked that because it was quiet, Santa Pola has a lovely water front, bars and restaurants, supermarkets are not that far away, we had a few lovely evenings in restaurants in the town. Beach is grey sand, very well maintained, there are better beaches to the north including one that is exceptional towards Gran Alicante, includes also a salt lake reserve with Flamingo’s too to the south of the town as well. We visited La Marina, Gran Alicante, Guardamar & Torreviaja and beaches are exceptional with lots of thought to keep them unspoilt and enjoyable to go there. Cartegena is an lovely city with lots of things to visit. I will go to the area again.
