Cozy Home 3 Blocks From Beach w/Central AC, Deck, Private Washer/Dryer, WiFi

We ended up renting this home after our original reservation was cancelled by the homeowner. What a great switch it turned out to be! The home has been updated from what the listing pictures show. There's a new deck, new washer/dryer and all the carpeting is removed and replaced with wood flooring. The house is spacious with large rooms and closets, 2 bathrooms so no one has to wait, and in a beautiful quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of the island. The 3 blocks to the beach are long but definitely walkable. We opted to drive on the days we went and easily found free parking on the side streets close to beach entrances. This home exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay again!

I didn’t LOVE anything. Livingroom was a wreck! Nothing that was promised was provided. There was garbage under our bed, ANTS EVERYWHERE! No beach chairs or umbrella like was advertised! It smelt like pure mildew upon arrival. All an all it was not a good experience & 100% would not recommend anyone to stay here! ALSO, our bedroom tv was broken, & barely worked! Worst Rental EVER!!!

The property was beautiful and in a nice neighborhood. The only problem I had was there was no water in the msster bathroom shower so everyone had to use the guest shower. Other than that I will recommend other friends of mine stay there and I will be staying there again.

Cooked meals for our family gathering. Very well stocked kitchen for a rental. Plenty of plates, glasses, silverware. Included blender and toaster oven. Noisy dishwasher, but didnt matter since we ran it at night. Comfortable walk to beach. Found extra parking in neighborhood with no problem. Fun minigolf closer than the beach. Local crab place on the way to beach.

The size of the home and location

My kids and I wanted to take a quick trip to the beach before school started. The kids were excited to see the space when we arrived. The number of beds and bathrooms were ideal for the number of us traveling. They were also pleased there was a TV in the room they selected. Some of the furniture appeared to be for decoration as some lamps were not located near outlets and the TV in the master bedroom did not turn out (I don't think it was plugged in). The indoor areas are as described on the website. The interior is dated but overall clean and functional. There were linens on the beds and towels were provided; however, there were no washcloths. A welcome starter kit with conditioner, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish liquid was provided. The first thing we noticed in the kitchen were several ant baits. Despite their presence there were a number of ants in and around the kitchen. Some unfortunately made their way into bags we left in the dining area and arrived home with us. The outdoor parking space does not have any direct lighting. This was problematic getting the kids in an out of the car when we arrived at night. The outdoor entry area is elevated and does not have a safety rail. You have to be careful entering and exiting with young children. Depending on the ages of the individuals travelling with you the beach may not be a walkable distance. We drove and were able to find parking so this was not an issue. There is not a private area outside of the house to rinse off before entry. We attempted to use the hose outside but the water was turned off. The overall location is great. We explored Fenwick and spent a day at Bethany Beach in Delaware as it was only 15 minutes away. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near if you prefer to do your own cooking. We had a fun short stay that met our needs.

Nice house. Kitchen well supplied for preparing meals. Very close to beach--a walk or a 2 minute drive with plenty of parking.. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood

This was my first time renting a place like this and I'm glad that I did. It was good experience that makes me wish that I stayed a few more days.

House is far enough from the beach that parking isn't an issue, and close enough that walking is easy. Washer and dryer are new, TV and flooring have been updated since pictures were taken. Also ran into the owners, and they were very lovely. Left fresh cut flowers and offered us bay leaves from their plant. Would definitely stay again!
