Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from our 26th summer family trip to Brookhaven Cottages in The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. While so many in the US and Europe were sweltering in extremely high heat and humidity, we were reveling in gorgeous sunny weather with mid-day highs of 75F and great sleeping temps around 60F. There is no air conditioning in the cabins nor is it necessary as the breeze comes off Glen Lake and keeps us quite cool and comfortable. We love the access to the row boat on Brooks Lake behind the cabins and used the kayaks to paddle along the shore of Big Glen and into Big and Little Fischer Lakes. We either swam off the dock or used the stand-up paddle boards to get to the swim platform. When we did venture away from Brookhaven, we spent our days hiking the trails or climbing the dunes in the Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat'l Lakeshore, or biking along the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (paved off road path-30 miles long) through rolling hills, farmlands, sand dunes, and forested canopies. All of these activities left us super hungry for unlimited cherry products-cherry bar b que, cherry chicken salad, cherry pie, cherry pop and of course cherry ice cream. Most nights we had dinner at the picnic tables in front of Cabin 1 and watched the amazing sunsets. The campfire on the lakefront in front of the cabins is a favorite gathering place to relax after dark and enjoy marshmallows and s'mores. Brookhaven is great place for a solo trip, a couple, a family or a bigger gathering. We've had endless fun there and are already counting the days until we return in 2024.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This simple two bedroom cabin is perfect for a relaxing lakeside stay or place to sleep when you want to take in the activities and sites of the area. You could spend happy days right in that spot swimming, boating, by the campfire. We enjoyed it as a comfortable place to rest and sleep while visiting family. The proprietor is especially responsive and kind.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I really enjoyed my stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I kept camping rules in terms of food storage and washing dishes right away, as there are bugs out in the country. I don't typically do a lot of cooking while on vacation, but it was nice to have the a full kitchen available. The best part for me was the amazing location - close to everything I wanted to do, it's right on a lake - and the free access to the kayaks. It was such a relaxing place to hang out and then kayak, then hang out some more. I loved it. I was fortunate to meet up with one of the owners of the place, who was very friendly and gave me great advice about places to see and where to eat. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to go back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely loved my fall girls’ weekend with my 2 daughters on Glen Lake. The cottage has an incredible view and treed property. Location is so close to Glen Arbor restaurants and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Great town! Incredible long dock to stargaze on. Outdoor chairs, kayaks, and fire pit. The cottage is tiny and extremely outdated, but it was quaint, clean, and did the job. We basically just slept in there. Beds were comfortable, living area and table nice to have in the evening after a long day of exploring all the beauty of the area. It was the perfect size for 3 people. Didn’t use the kitchen, but it was stocked with utensils, pans, etc. Nice deck with grill, chairs, and a picnic table to enjoy the view. This is like the typical “up north” cottage of my childhood growing up in Michigan. Nothing fancy and everything is old. It’s a step up from camping (glamping) unlike the upscale resort quality interior of many other VRBO’s/AirBnB’s properties I have rented in other states. It’s the view and location that’s worth the $. I would definitely stay here again.
This property is a great place to stay. The cottage is small yet works well for a couple or small family. The view of Glenn Lake is wonderful and there's lots of bird activity to watch. We'll be back!

The communal fire pit is nice and having access to the kayaks and canoe are a great way to se the lake.
Brookhaven 1 had the best view of Glen Lake! The cabin was a bit outdated but clean for the most part. The cabin size and location was perfect for the 4 of us! Would consider staying here again!
Great location.. beautiful sunset views, really enjoyed the sports courts and bonfire pit. Great cabin to be low maintenance and enjoy up North.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented 3 cabins and were wonderful. Absolutely perfect for our family.. Very clean and quaint. Had everything we needed. The only negative that will keep us from returning is that there was nowhere to put out boat and you are not allowed to tie to the pier. Other places we stayed in the past had a moaring for your boat placed in the lake outside of each cabin. We had to moar our boat across the lake and paid $70 a night. Just a big inconvenience every evening and not sure why they could not offer this. If in the future this changes please let us know.
I picked this cottage due to it’s proximity to the lake and the anticipation of enjoying the fire pit which due to nearly constant rain did not happen! ? We enjoyed the local fare and the scenery was still gorgeous! The cabin was tidy except for cobwebs in some corners and windows!! Overall, we would visit again!
