Large solid wooden French windows to the delicious view across the pretty countryside that surrounds the nearby town of Ponte de Lima: the patchwork of green fields, tidy vineyards and the backdrop of mountains stretch out beyond the grounds. Down below, the placid Rio Trovela is well-known locally for its trout.
The traditional kitchen, with its stone flagged floor, stunning beamed ceiling and enormous original fireplace, has been converted to create an attractive dining room, whilst the living room, covered by pattern rugs, is so ample that it is not only an area of soft furnishings but also a billiards table. Behind the main house, lies a private swimming pool with roman steps, surrounded by inviting lawns.
