Woodstock, New York
This lovely spot is just over a mile from the Woodstock Town Green, situated on a small road, nestled into a hillside, where you can watch the leaves change during the day and enjoy a cozy wood fire at night. A real feeling of privacy. Lots of room inside and out for relaxation. The grounds are an interesting combination of lawns, rock gardens, expanses of wood decking and stone work, sheltered nooks, and patio spaces—all designed informally around a fantastic in-ground heated salt water swimming pool. (Pool season is approximately from the end of May through September 15..)
We are only minutes from the main venue for the Woodstock Comedy Festival and the Woodstock Film Festival. And this is a perfect spot to relax and watch the leaves change.
The yard is fully fenced in, making it a great place for children and/or dogs (For insurance reasons we cannot accept Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, or Dobermans). The fenced portion includes the pool area, so supervision may be needed during the open-pool season.
The house is a two-level bungalow dating from the late 1940’s, with Arts & Crafts-style inspiration. The inside is airy and light filled thanks to several sets of French doors and sliding panels that lead to outside. The eat-in kitchen is vintage, with updates for modern cooking. It is serviceable to the Thanksgiving dinner level , and it is lovely for cozy coffee klatching. The spacious, open living/dining area has a cathedral ceiling and wood-burning stone fireplace.
There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds, and the third has an antique brass double bed. The third bedroom/study, upstairs, has a cathedral ceiling as well as a spectacular view. The house sleeps 6 adults comfortably. (If there are children, it may be possible to accommodate them on the pull-out futon couch—please discuss this with the property manager.)
The house is stocked with the essentials you need to enjoy your stay. For the inside: soft sheets and towels, many pillows, firewood, plenty of cookware, plates and utensils, TV, broadband, a game console, books and DVDs, washer/dryer. For the outside: grill, pool toys, picnic and lounging furniture, hammock, and even a few sleds!
For those who like to ski, Belleayre Mountain is only 30 minutes away.

Our family members who stayed with you raved about every aspect of the property.
We had a wonderful stay in this adorable house in Woodstock. The weather prohibited us from enjoying the outdoor space, but it was warm and cozy inside with all the amenities we needed.
We had a great stay at this comfortable house dring the film fest. Super convenient location, nice accommodations and room to spread out and relax between and after films.
A terrific location, close to town (even walkable if you don't mind a hill), but felt away from it all. The home has character, is lovely, clean and comfortable, with very nice views and setting. If I have one criticism it's that, for the summer season, the patios and pool deck could have been spruced up a bit: planters and pots with dirt but no flowers kind of scattered about, half-rusted iron cafe set, unused and discarded tools placed randomly, and un-swept bluestone patio all gave an air of neglect. But it was not enough to deter a very enjoyable stay.
Location near woodstock was very nice, in the middle of the woods. Nice area. House is a bit old, upstairs bedroom was good, downstairs was a bit old. Great kitchen though and the pool was very nice and a good size.
Our family really enjoyed the house. It was a nice break from the city. The house was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and serene. The house was equipped with everything we needed to cook and clean up. The pool was really great. We loved that we were able to take our dogs as well. A nice detail that we loved was the fact that the host left two dog treats for our dogs.
The fenced in yard was wonderful and the pool was toasty warm. The location was perfect. We were able to tour Woodstock, Sleepy Hollow and Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Robyn was just a text away for any questions, and we loved this beautiful house with comfortable beds and the most delightful pool! Thank you for a restful stay for us and our elderly corgi, who had a festival of smells to enjoy in the fenced yard.
The house is even more beautiful than the pictures. Very clean with plenty of space for five adults and two dogs. The area is very peaceful and quiet. Very easy to get into town for groceries. It was very relaxing to sit by the pool, which is part of the fully fenced in yard. Worked perfectly for our dogs. Our group consisted of a 60+ couple, a mid twenties couple, and a 30 year old. We all had plenty of activities available to us in the area. And some that we all could do together. We loved our time there and look forward to returning again in the winter for skiing. Robyn was very responsive before and during our stay; and was very considerate and friendly. Highly recommend this property!
Peaceful, so quiet. Private, surrounded by trees on a hillside. And convenient to “downtown” Woodstock. The fully fenced in yard is great if you have a dog, and the pool is so relaxing. Our second time here, we love it!
Great house, great, host
We had a great time! Nice house and area!
We had a great time in this beautifully located house. Saw a lot of deer. We hope to go back again.
This home is far more beautiful and warm than it appears in the photos. Highly recommended!
Had a great weekend getaway with family and friend. Great location and dog friendly. We look forward to coming back soon!
The property is in a lovely setting, surrounded by woods, next to a babbling brook. The house has good light, is spacious and kept very clean; the kitchen is well equipped; and the beds are very comfortable. We took nice walks in the surrounding area and spent time in charming Woodstock. We definitely hope to return.
As 2 active, senior couples we had a relaxing, fun time at this comfortable house and property with plenty of sprawl and close to town. The house is clean, with a nice flow. Plenty of space to gather or find a quiet spot. Pool and deck is perfect. Our expectations were met. We would come back. Robyn was considerate, friendly and responsive.
We had a great time in Woodstock. Everything in the house was perfect. The property is beautiful. The pool was nice and clean. We had a really nice time and can’t wait to go back.
Property was beautiful, quaint. A little too much greenery and bugs for my taste lol But I know that comes with the territory. Very close to the town of Woodstock and eateries which was what we wanted. The pool was very nice, was supposed to be heated but it was OK since it was so hot. My family enjoyed it..
The house was nicer than the pictures. Clean, lots of room for three couples, close to Woodstock, and dog friendly!
Pictures really don't do this place justice. The house is located in a very peaceful woodsey area on a hill that is very private but amazingly close to downtown Woodstock. The house is roomey and very nice. The deck and pool are great. The fenced-in yard makes it all the more relaxing if you have dogs. We had a great vacation!
My husband and three teenage children enjoyed the home. The property manager responded immediately to any questions, and the home itself was just as advertised. The house is spacious, the fenced yard perfect for a dog and the location feels remote and woodsy but is very convenient to town. We hope to book again in the summer when the pool is open.
We had a great time at this lovely house. The house is very clean, sunny and pleasant.. The property is secluded and beautiful. Close to town but away from everything at the same time. We can’t wait to come back. Robyn is very responsive and nice to deal with. Any questions were answered immediately.
