Easily housing the whole family, two small families, or a group of friends, this dog-friendly Dripping Springs home boasts a shared pool and hot tub, and great home essentials to round out the perfect Texas vacation. Watch deer and other wildlife meander through the yard, or head out to explore the quaint town of Dripping Springs. Austin and Wimberley are close by as well!
Adorably decorated to fit right in with its Texas Hill Country surroundings, you'll find wood and tiles floors, a beautifully rustic stone wall dividing the main living area, and the cutest decor around every corner.
Just through the front door is an inviting living room with two long sofas and an armchair. Gather the whole group to catch up, watch movies on the flatscreen TV (with a DVD player attached), and play games across the coffee table. Although the wood fireplace is just for show, you can adjust the thermostat for warmth and ambiance, use the WiFi to stream tunes, and relax with a glass of wine after a fun day together.
If you can't all decide on the same movie to watch, send the kids into the comfortable family room, which is furnished with a reclining sofa, armchair, and large flatscreen TV.
Dine on tasty home-cooked meals made fresh in the full kitchen. A large stainless steel fridge, oven/stove top, dishwasher, and microwave are paired with smaller appliances like a coffeemaker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, and mixer to ensure the chef of the group has everything they need! And everyone can fit around the circular dining table, but with the amazing year-round climate in Texas, feel free to take your plate out to the shaded patio.
An enticing king bed occupies the wonderful main bedroom. An en suite bathroom featuring a tub/shower combo adds extra privacy for guests staying in this room. The second room has a queen bed, and two twin beds are found in the third bedroom. Two sofabeds complete the sleeping options, giving all travelers a place to rest each night.
One more full bathroom (plus an outdoor bathroom area for after a swim) and a laundry room are also included, so everyone will stay fresh and clean. This home does welcome canine friends, but please keep in mind there is a nightly fee.
As the wedding capital of Texas, Dripping Springs is a wonderful place to bring the family for a vacation. Hang out around the large, serene property of Whitetail Ridge finding your favorite spot to read a good, or go for a hike on the trails weaving throughout, then take a refreshing swim in the pool. Enjoy exploring the main hub of Dripping Springs just four miles away. Austin is a mere 10 miles away, so this is a prime spot for those looking for a quiet place but still be close to shopping, eateries, and music festivals.

Neat house with lots of antiques! Cool backyard shared pool. House was older and bathroom door was under construction? Beds and bedding could be updated. Overall clean and served it's purpose.
This is a spectacular location! Retreat is the perfect word to describe the overall ambiance … it’s nestled just far enough off 290 to make you feel like your on your own little piece of paradise. The Ranch House shared a pool and BBQ area with the other two dwellings on the overall property; the Studio and the Cottage…. And I would definitely rent it again, if I needed to stay short term in the Dripping Springs again (but we were there looking for permanent temporary housing to live in, while our custom home is being built in Old 32 Ranch)… However, I would not recommend this property or location for people with small toddlers or infants. I was traveling with my two daughters and my small grandchildren (my 20 month active & mobile grandson and my 3 month old grand daughter)… the first morning my daughter-in-law awoke to find a 1.5 inch scorpion about a foot and half above her head on the wall above the bed she had been sleeping in. The second morning my daughter went to exit the house via the back door with my grandson, and they came face to face with a tarantula on the line stone wall next to the door jam… it was rather large, probably a full 5 inches in circumference… my daughters is approximately 5’2” and it was level with her neck and shoulders… needless to say it didn’t survive the encounter. They told me their pest control people had been out on Sept 12th, but there were allot of toads, praying mantis, mesqitos, spiders, lizards, and various beatles both in the house house and on both patio areas…. Nothing too overly concerning for myself, but the mama’s were a bit freaked out?
Run, don’t walk away - and if you booked here, I’d recommend canceling and finding another place (incorrect listing pics, bed counts incorrect, fridge/freezer doesn’t work, no wifi, no way to lock doors, busted ceiling fans, nasty pull out bed/pillows, etc). The pics on VRBO - yeah - they aren’t what you’ll actually get, different furniture, bed count, and decor. Our friends arrived before us and called to make sure they were at the right property because it was so different. Let’s start with the bed count. If you’re expecting a room with two twins - it’s not here. The pull out couch (circa 1984) mattress was brown, we didn’t even bother to open it all the way. Extra pillows, those are saliva stained and nasty. Upon arrival, the lockbox didn’t work, however, the front door was unlocked - which meant our VRBO went unlocked whenever we left the property, which was all day. The garage door opens and closes on its own schedule. Had to close it manually. The WiFi name wasn’t listed correctly, but thankfully our local rep was able to resolve, just kidding. The wifi didn’t work throughout our stay, even though we found the correct name and password. The ceiling fan was falling off the ceiling - terrifying. The fridge wasn’t cold and the freezer turned our ice into water. With a nursing mom, we were not happy. I started communication with our local rep, Brenda, as soon as we discovered the issues. She stopped communicating by Friday at 5:45pm - i sent her six more text messages throughout the weekend to no avail. We finally called Vacasa directly on Saturday morning, but they didn’t resolve anything either. Another phone call and conversation Saturday evening. Another Sunday. And now we have radio silence. Cancel, your fees will save you time, headache, and money in the long run.
Property was amazing has anything you would need. Not far from Austin and super close to distilleries and wineries
A friend and I decided to celebrate our birthdays together at this amazing location. Since October can either be a hit or miss on cooler or warmer weather we decided to get a place that had a hot tub and a pool. This worked out perfectly because the days were very warm and the nights were chilly. Plus they had a fire pit and outdoor kitchen that we were able to utilize! Throughout the mornings and evenings, the deer came out. The house is located away from the main road so we got to hear nature and see the beautiful stars at night. It was relaxing and exactly what I needed. I would definitely come back again!
The location is good, close to a lot of stores but tucked away enough in the woods to attract deers. The pool, grill and fireplace was also great. Here's is the list that needs work 1. We had rains 2nd day and it came pouring in through the windows and damaged our suitcase and contents. Have several photos as proof. Management knows about it already as evident from my text conversations that morning. Second room had same issue but not as bad 2. Fan in one of the rooms was almost falling down and is a safety issue. Have a video of that along with pictures 3. Refrigerator especially freezer could not keep anything cold enough. Vanilla icecream became milk shake and Popsicles became slurred 4. 2nd morning when power went off with the rains the water stopped too. It was terrible trying to manage 5 young kids who needed to go to the bathroom but no running water. They did turn it back up in about 1 and half hr
Had a great time staying here! The accommodations were nice just as they said. We didn’t realize there are 2 other rental houses on property so you share the pool and outdoor amenities with others. Fortunately, we had great neighbors for the weekend.
Plenty of room. Awesome decorations, great outdoor space
Great experience and lots of things to do on site. Nice way to meet new people in the common area. Great location.
