Cottage In The Rye in the Bourbon Capital of the World

Our “Cottage in The Rye” stay was wonderful! Ashley, our Host, was friendly and quick to respond throughout the process. The cottage was cozy, clean, and welcoming. The beds were so comfortable, as well as the sofa (a favorite)! The Christmas tree and decor were lovely and appreciated! We enjoyed being close to downtown and easily reached our planned activities. We loved “A Christmas Carol” at My Old Kentucky Home State Park, the Dinner Train, shopping, and Marker’s Mark Distillery. Thank you Ashley for a delightful stay!!

What a perfect choice we made when choosing Cottage In The Rye. So nice, so comfy, so clean - so everything! Ashley knows her stuff when it comes to hosting - the kitchen is well stocked, and there are plenty of towels, linens and toiletries available. The location in town is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Loved, loved, loved our stay.

Perfect location if you are visiting Bardstown. Walking distance to courthouse square, many restaurants, historical area. We had three couples. This house was much better for us rather than a hotel. We prepared our own breakfast and had plenty of room to hang out in the evenings.Highly recommend.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. It is a very comfortable, quiet and clean home. It has a great backyard and the location is perfect to walk into town and the driving distances to many distilleries is ideal.

Cute, very clean house in a great location. We were able to walk to town easily.. everything was perfect! We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area. Very highly recommended.

Great little house in the heart of all that is bourbon. Literally a 7 minute walk to downtown Bardstown and right in the area of all the distilleries. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Basement will be a nice addition once its finished.

Great value and location to downtown Bardstown

This sweet home was perfect! It was clean, charming, in very close to all that Bardstown has to offer. The beds were super comfortable, the house was well stocked, and the hosts were easy to communicate with.

Close to food, drinks and shopping. Great place to chill after a busy day.

perfect location in bardstown, close to downtown, nearby restaurants and distilleries. quaint house, with 3 bedrooms. no shower up stairs, but owner in process of renovating basement, and has 2nd shower downstairs. comfortable beds, good size living room and kitchen. gazebo in back, ...definitely need bug spray.some minor maintenance needed, and prevous guest right before us unfortunately smoked in the house, but otherwise would stay again.

We just fell in love with this cottage. It was perfect for our stay and the location was amazing. Ashley was extremely easy to work and communicate with. It was a great place to come home to after a day on the Bourbon trail. Everyone in our party would highly recommend staying at this cottage when you visit Bardstown.

Perfect location. I entered the wrong email on the app and had to contact the owner who was very accommodating with providing me check in information via email instead of the app. We also misplaced an item and she was very kind and understanding. Amazing experience.

Perfect house for 6. So close to everything

The Cottage in the Rye was a comfortable cottage. One of the bedrooms was on the first floor with two others on the second floor. The new bathroom was nice but it was in the basement so be aware if you plan to use both showers, stairs will be involved. We didn’t have any problems with the stairs so both showers worked out fine. The location was easily walkable to downtown Bardstown. We would definitely recommend the Cottage in the Rye and will book it on our next trip to Bardstown.

The cottage was very clean cozy honestly you do need ventilation upstairs and we went out to the patio and sprayed ourselves with mosquito spray but were still ate up so need to do some cleaning up and add tiki torches to keep mosquitoes away but it was awesome for us just to visit with one another thank you

Bourbon trip

This was our homebase for the Bardstown portion of our Bournon Trail trip. Downtown Bardstown is a great place to unwind after hitting the distilleries, and it's all walking distance from this nice place

Cute updated home close to downtown. Enjoyed the many restaurants and distillery tours Bardstown has to offer.

We stayed 2 days in this gem to explore Bardstown & learn about the history of the area. Home is clean, has many updates, and, most importantly, is within easy walking distance of historic downtown Bardstown. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!
