The Stillwater House has everything you want for your Montana vacation!

The Stillwater House is located in open fields on the bank of the Stillwater River. To the North, West and East are expansive vistas of fields and mountains as far as the eye can see. The Southern exposure is wooded and allows scenic views of the meandering river.

You will thoroughly enjoy this central location in the Flathead Valley... Although the Stillwater House is only 12 minutes from downtown Whitefish and Kalispell shopping, it has a secluded feeling as though it is in a world of it's own.

The Stillwater House is located on fields and wooded river frontage. You will enjoy the large green lawn and the secluded hot-tub hidden beneath the river bank. The private dock allowing full access and use of the river is literally a stone's throw from the back deck.

Swim, fish and raft the river. Play horse-shoes in the shade of the spruce and fir trees. Explore the wooded river frontage, being sure to keep an eye out for deer, wild turkeys, beavers and bald eagles. Bring your bikes (or rent, in town) for excellent mountain biking within riding distance of the house. Enjoy late evening fires and s'mores around the fire-pit in the back deck.

The Stillwater House is a contemporary home designed to maximize the resident's enjoyment of the beautiful surrounding environment. This house was designed with many picture windows to allow full enjoyment of the Montana experience, even while indoors! Whether it is the deer crossing the open field, or the sunrise/sunset over the mountains. You won't miss a thing!

First Floor: Kitchen, dining, and living room... This open floor plan invites complete involvement of the whole group in the activities. The floorplan was designed to encourage togetherness and group interaction. The Stillwater House is perfect for summer entertaining! Even while cooking and barbequing, no one will feel left out! The kitchen is fully stocked and includes two refrigerators, a gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee grinder and Bunn coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, and every utensil you'll need. The kitchen is even stocked with basic spices and condiments, as well as paper towels. If you'd like, arrangements can be made with the owner to purchase any food items prior to your arrival. The first floor also offers a 42 inch TV with satellite service and a computer with internet access, also a Bang & Olufsen stereo system! The living room opens up through 4 sliding glass doors to the south facing deck overlooking the river. Also on the first floor is a half bath for your convenience.

Second Floor: Up the contemporary staircase are 4 bedrooms, two full baths, a common room, and a theater room.

The master bedroom features a king size bed. This room has 10' picture windows that look out over the river to the South and Big Mountain to the North. Adjoining the master bedroom is a full bathroom that includes a water closet, shower and separate garden tub. The master bath also has a small balcony. Linens and towels are provided.

The second bedroom sleeps two on a full size bed.

The third and fourth bedrooms each have bunk beds with full on the bottom and twin on top. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th bedrooms surround a 'common room'. The common room has a comfortable hide a bed with a memory foam mattress.

Adjoining the common room is a second full bath.

The theater room includes a large, comfortable sectional couch, 82 inch Sony TV, satellite, surround sound, and DVD player. You can keep the shades drawn for the complete theater experience or open them up for a full view of Big Mountain. We provide a quality queen sized air mattress that can sleep two in the theater room.

A stay in the Stillwater House will prove, it is the Last Best Place!

Our family booked this property for our annual Camp Cada. Usually only grandchildren can come, but parents were invited this year. This location was perfect for our needs. More than spacious enough for 12 of us, everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, play and rest. The older kids loved the board game cupboard and stayed up late playing. The yard is huge, large enough for tag and nerf wars. Loved the walking access to Stillwater River for swimming. The kitchen is filled with every appliance needed. Brant was kind enough to teach us how to use the Traeger. We had the best ribs ever. Property is centrally located outside of Whitefish, and within an hour's drive to many attractions including West Glacier National Park entrance. Our family was able to experience many of the opportunities there including the Road to the Sun and white water rafting. It was so nice to come home to our temporary home. We had such a good time. Thank you so much for sharing. We hope to come again.

We really enjoyed staying at the Stillwater house. Everything was clean and comfy. The host was very responsive to any issues that came up, and also offered recommendations for local food and activities. The location was great, within 30 minutes to whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia falls and 40min to Glacier National Park. We had an amazing time!!!

Close to Glacier with quick access to Whitefish and Kalispell, a gorgeous contemporary home on beautiful land with lots of amenities. We most appreciated Brant’s hospitality, the sunrises and sunsets, fire pit and grill.

Had a great stay at this house for a week. House was 100% as listed. We had a group of 12 and we had plenty of space. Very convenient to activities including Glacier (5 visits), rafting, rodeo and airport. Shopping was easily accessible 10-15 minutes away including a Bass Pro Shop. Top recommendation from Brant was pizza at the Moose Saloon in Kalispell. Hands down maybe the top pepperoni pizza I have ever had. Bar pie with a great crust. Drink prices and beer options were great as well. Overall a great stay.

The home was so unique and comfy/cozy. Brant was fantastic! Loved our conversations - he is very knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. He truly wanted and strived to make our trip comfortable and wonderful. I can't say enough nice things about Brant and his home. If you get the opportunity to stay here - you must! The location was also wonderful - on the Stillwater River nestled in the trees with mountain views all around and a hot tub on the river to enjoy! We were able to use the canoe several times on the river and had a fabulous time!

We came into town from Missoula to play in the snow. We spent a day at Whitefish mountain resort and one day in Glacier. The house is a perfect distance while still having some privacy and space. It was a great space for the 9 people and two dogs we had. Despite the cold we loved using the hot tub. Thank you!

We booked the Stillwater house for our family Xmas break, and it was amazing! Super cozy house, well decorated and well appointed. It was a quiet setting, and the hot tub overlooking the river was a nice touch. The house has a lot of windows and wood burning stove to keep it warm and cozy. Beds were comfortable and the host was responsive and informative. Only 15-20 minutes outside of Whitefish - we will rent this property again!

This was my first Vrbo stay. From the very beginning, it was a positive experience. Brant, the host, was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure it we were comfortable. The house is clearly designed to allow time spent together. Because we went the beginning of December the hosts even decorated for Christmas. There is an abundance of wildlife right out your back door, views of the mountains and the river from almost everywhere in the house. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare amazing meals for a crowd. Thank you to the hosts for sharing their amazing home with us. HIGHLY recommend.

Couldn’t have asked for a better home to stay in following up to our wedding day. It is the perfect spot; peaceful, lots of wildlife to observe, plenty of outdoor activities…the list is endless. Not to mention Brant was very kind, helpful and super responsive to any needs we had! Highly recommended!

Location was great, outdoor area was super nice. We were gone from morning until night, but the back deck area was great for star gazers. Saw the Milky Way and shooting stars. Lots of games available to play in the evening. Nice size TV room downstairs and upstairs. Since we were all adults, the only negative would be the bunk beds. I’m sure for people with kids it would be perfect. Great hosts!!!

This beautiful home and property exceeded our expectations! We were already so excited from seeing the listing, but being there in person was even better. The hosts were very hospitable. Brant met with us to give us a tour at check-in, and checked in with us during our stay to make sure we were having a good time. The house offers everything you could want for a vacation - we enjoyed stargazing, the hot tub, canoeing, cooking in the large kitchen, hanging out with the dog Buddy who would visit outside, bonfires, and lots of movies in the theater room. We would love to return in the future!
