Wonderful outdoor area, Really happy with the river portion, even though it was low it had a great spot behind the house! All enjoyed!

The house was older, but beautiful and clean. We had ten people and it was perfect. Access to the river was good, but you do need a side-by-side to get down there. We had a wonderful time!

This is a good house with great outdoor features. The house itself is dated on the inside, but everything is clean and works. The outdoor areas are nice, and the highlight is the access to the Frio River.

We were very surprised this property is so expensive nightly. You have to bring all your own sheets/towels/toilet paper/paper towels/everything. We've stayed in several VRBO's before and have never had to do that. Also, the pictures online make the property seem much larger than it is. the kitchen is absolutely tiny! Living room only seats three people and we were a party of 7 adults and two kids. The river access is down a pretty steep and long very rocky trail which was challenging to go up and down. The water was so low there really isn't a river right now, which I know isn't their fault but we certainly didn't get a discount for it either, and the river would be the only reason to pay the high price. The outdoor space is the best part of the house but we wont be back.

The property is in a great location, close enough to a general store right down the road as well as Garner state park. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the covetered patio and the bbq pit area. The only downside is that one of the rooms shared a door right next to the outdoor patio area (which we used more frequent than the front entrance), but we were all indoors before anyone got a chance to get comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this home.

The river area was great! Pretty shallow throughout with a few pockets of deeper water. It says two parts of the river but the first part you cross is pretty stagnant so we didn’t even try to get in the water there but the second area was nice. We were the only ones down by the river all 3 days except for a couple that fished a lil further down than us. Only complaints are that there are no blinds on the huge window in master bedroom that faces the patio so everyone can see in along with a missing blind in the master bathroom so those on the patio can see in there too- so essentially no privacy in master suite. Also that the string lights down by the river didn’t work- we had multiple guys trying to get it to work for at least 15 min. And that there was some trash around that we picked up. Lastly we couldn’t get the sound bar outside to work after the tv had been turned off the first time. Again, 3 engineers working on it and couldn’t get it to work. Overall was good but the lack of privacy in master room where me and my new fiancé slept was the biggest downfall.

The riverfront access is what makes this location fantastic! The house itself has some age to it, but we don't go to the Frio for the houses! They've made a cool outdoor covered patio that we spent our evenings on. And again, the riverfront area was great. We spent most of our time down by the water. If you want the camping feel without having to stay in a tent, then this is a good property for you.

Beautiful home, amazing outdoor space and great river access!

Our stay at North Star was amazing. The house was perfect and the location was great. The river area by the house is beautiful and perfect for hanging out. We definitely will stay there again!!!
