...Clean, eash check in, all the comforts of home, updated and fully accommodating for 3 to 4 couples, Photos matched the home..wildlife was fun to see, free bikes, location was great, outdoor amenities were outstanding, BBQ area was great music, BBQ pit...THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY
These units are in a great location. Just out of town. Water had an odd odor at first but after it ran for awhile, the odor went away. The water is hard water. Beds were ok. When window treatments are replaced, block out shades would be best for bedrooms. Internet was not very good - probably would benefit from a mesh network although the capacity was pretty low. Don’t expect to be able to stream video unless you are lucky - it worked sporadically. This was the main reason for not being a 5-star place.
My family had a great time staying together at the Rapid City home in the Black Hills. Property manager Jon was great and very responsive to our needs. Excellent service and great family memories!
We rode up in a large group and the property was set up perfect for our group. We rented the entire unit. Everything was clean and tidy. We met the the owners when we arrived and they were great people and ended up hanging out with us. They even split us some wood for the fire pit. Parking area was large and accommodating even for a large bike trailer. Overall it was a great place to stay with biker friendly owners. We will definitely rent again.
We loved the spacious house and it was perfect for 2 families. The property was very clean and the owner was great to work with! We also were able to see deer in the yard and the kids had plenty of space to run around.
We LOVED this property. So many great aspects that helped to make this trip memorable. Location, hiking options, proximity to everything and responsiveness of owners (thank you for your service). This place is perfect if you are traveling with someone that has mobility issues and teenage ones. Something for everyone for sure. Would recommend this to anyone. We had both units to accommodate 10 family members.
We spent Easter Weekend in Rapid City with our kids. It was great weather and the accommodations were excellent! The rooms were great along with the amenities in the living rooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas. We had more than enough room for the six of us and we found a lot to do in the area ... multiple trips would be needed to even get close to seeing everything. The first day we hiked around Mt. Rushmore and in the Sylvan Lake area with a lunch break in Custer at Baker's Bakery & Cafe. The second day we visited the Reptile Gardens, stopped at the historic fish hatchery in Spearfish (D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery & Archives), hiked throughout Spearfish canyon (great waterfalls), and stopped by the winery in Hill City (Prairie Berry Winery). Sunrise service on Sunday morning and everyone went their ways home. Thanks for providing a great accommodation for our Easter Weekend!
I rented both the upstairs and downstairs parts of the duplex for various family members, including my wife and me, to stay in during a nephew's wedding in Rapid City. There are a few negatives: the owner requests that you remove your shoes when entering both units, and the downstairs unit doesn't have a dishwasher. In addition, there wasn't a ton of silverware or dinnerware (plates, glasses, etc.) Neither unit is luxurious, but they are both nicely appointed and well maintained, with comfortable beds. We invited other wedding guests who weren't staying on the premises over for dinner two nights, and set up large but light tables and chairs (from the premises), all of which were sturdy and easy to move while also being easy to maneuver, on the large concrete slab in front of the building. We also borrowed a grill from the unit next door, which wasn't being rented, so we had two grills going at once. We were able to seat and feed 24 people one night, and 21 the next. All in all, it worked very well for our purposes. Jon, the owner, was around some while working on the next door unit, and he was pleasant and very accommodating, inviting us to use the tables, chairs, and grill from the unit next door. The complex is close to a fairly major highway (State Highway 44, if my memory serves me correctly), which provided a little noise when we were outside, but didn't disturb our sleep. If you are willing to put up with the inconvenience of removing your shoes (I know that any number of families do this as a matter or routine) and washing the dishes by hand if you are occupying the downstairs, this is quite a good value and a nice place to stay, just outside the city limits on the southwest edge of Rapid City.
Our group rented both floors, the house exceeded our expectations. Great location and a great property.
This cabin was absolutely perfect for our vacations. Our group of friends was comfortable with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms! Plenty of space for everyone to shower and get ready for the day. We also enjoyed grilling breakfast on the patio and loved how it felt like we were deep in the hills, when we were really only 1/4 mile from a main highway, which led us to some beautiful drives through the hills and a close cave tour! Would definitely book again!
