Completely renovated beach getaway with private pool & hot tub - dog-friendly

Love the location which is not far from beach…

Received a text on possible early check in, got to the home at 3 - house was empty and already “cleaned” texted and called about entering sooner. Advised check in at 4 no exceptions. In the house, the floors were filthy, the bathrooms weren’t cleaned, hair still in the shower, there was a missing shower door in one of the Jack and Jill bathrooms and the other glass door was not on the track, an adult, thank God not one of our kids, were getting out of the shower and the shower door was stuck because it wasn’t on the track and broke, glass everywhere. The adult got cut up on their feet, arms and hands. I contacted vacasa and no one ever attempted to contact me by phone other than saying thank you for letting us know. We ended up checking out early Friday morning because of the glass all over the bathroom.

House is wonderful, beautifully decorated with everything you could want. Pool has alot of sand in it, cloudy and not well kept. Although lots of piol toys. Hot tub only half full of water with lots of debris in it. No way was it usable. Not sure if they are on maintenance plan. No one came all week.

The house was great, plenty of room for our large family. The pool and hot tub were great for hanging out. Salvo is more secluded, which we enjoyed.

The house overall was not bad. The surrounding houses are really close and there isn’t much privacy. The beds were the most comfortable beach house beds we have ever had in 10 years of coming to OBX, so that is a big plus. The entrance is a giant sandbox because of poor grading around the house which causes you to drag a lot of sand in the house. We got the house thinking each bedroom had its own bathroom. That is not the case, the four bedrooms on the middle floor share two bathrooms. Biggest issue was that we had nowhere to go with trash. There was one trash receptacle for a 5 bedroom (12 guest) house. Totally inadequate. The only trash receptacle was already full when we arrived from the previous guests. We piled bags around the receptacle but the trash guys didn’t take them. Our group filled the one receptacle in one day…. The other similar sized houses we have go to have always had 4 or 5 receptacles.

This beach house was awesome- great location right past the dunes with only a few houses in between us and the ocean! The house was the cleanest VRBO that I’ve ever stayed at- from the crows nest off of the deck you can see the ocean and the sound! The neighborhood was quiet and serene- I’m planning a return visit soon:)

This house exceeded our expectations. The layout is perfect. The beds are SO COMFORTABLE. Good mattresses are crucial to a good vacation. We love the open top floor. The reading nook and yoga rooms are such great ‘hidden’ spaces! This was our first stay in Rodanthe and will not be our last. Can’t wait to come stay at Beach Boys again in the future.

We loved staying at Beach Boys! There was plenty of room for two adults and four teens; nobody ever felt cramped. The beds were very comfortable (and extra blankets were available for anyone who sleeps cooler), there were plenty of towels for the six of us, and the kitchen had more than enough dishes/pots and pans/utensils/etc. for us to cook a few dinners in. I'm not sure how long ago the house was renovated, but everything looked new and clean. We weren't staying in peak season, so a lot of the local businesses weren't open for the season or closed early, but there was still plenty to do. We had a lovely week and will hopefully be able to come stay again soon!

The house was stocked in the kitchen with all the tools you need. The house was roomy and nice. Love that the beach was not crowded almost like a private beach. The house is only about 30 minutes from Nags Head so you could get there easily as there is not much in Salvo/Avon to do or eat out. I would stay here again. Just a note the hike to the beach can be a little much as you have to go over this large sand berm that could be challenging for older individuals or ones with disabilities. There are no ramps or stairs down the berm to get to the beach.
