The Space:

Whether your idea of fun involves a pool cue, a dip in the pool at the SHARC center, or the bubbly warmth of the hot tub out on the deck, this stylish three-bedroom Sunriver vacation rental home with room for 10 will accommodate you. Located in a quiet, wooded area on the eastern you'll be ideally situated to activities, like golf, hiking, cycling, and shopping and dining at The Village at Sunriver, just five minutes away. And, we'llmake it even easier! Your visit comes with eight passes to SHARC (Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center).

Stow the kayak, hang the socks up to dry, and gather under the gentle breeze from the ceiling fan in the big, open living area where there's plenty of room for everyone on the soft, sectional furniture. Sip on a drink and discuss tomorrow's itinerary as you listen to one of the CDs you brought along. If it's cold outside or you're stuck inside on a rainy day (a rarity in this region that enjoys an average 300 days of yearly sunshine!), slip one of the DVDs you brought with you in the player and enjoy a movie on the wall-mounted flat screen.

Or, slip out on the deck and warm up in the hot tub. If you're feeling a little antsy, head to the rec room where you can rack 'em up for a fun game of pool. There's another TV in here with a VHS player. Pick a tape from the library and watch a flick in here as well.

When you're hungry, follow the beautiful hardwood floor into this home's fully equipped kitchen where your cooks will have all the appliances, counter space, cabinets, and utensils they'll need to make just about any recipe come to life! The oven is tucked away in the island where three can sit on the stools and chat with the chef as he/she sautes the meat or vegetables. There's a big fridge, of course, for your cold stuff, and a microwave for that quick snack or burrito when you're in a hurry.

If you can't remember how much fennel goes in the recipe, bring up the laptop with the free WiFi and check the recipe. And don't forget: Sunriver's high desert climate will afford you plenty of opportunities for a barbecue, sizzling hot off the gas grill on the deck.

This lovely vacation rental home has three bedrooms and room for eight. Flip a coin for the master bedroom where you'll sleep in a big king, enjoy late-night cable viewing or a movie from the comfort of the bed. In the morning, slip out through the private entrance for a dip in the hot tub or a breath of fresh air before breakfast. There's an additional bedroom with a queen bed, and a third bedroom (perfect for the kids!) with a twin bunk. Two full bathrooms will make getting ready quick and easy. And, you needn't pack too much. When the clothes pile up, just head to the washer and dryer in the laundry room and take care of them.

To get you started on your fun, Sunriver getaway in this beautiful home, your stay comes with eight unlimited use passes to the SHARC facility, an aquatic center with outdoor and indoor pools, water slides, tot pool, lazy river, and year-round tubing park. Secure the kayak and make sure you have your rod and tackle box: the Deschutes River snakes along Sunriver's western edge, also offering white-knuckle raft rides along its length. Bring the bike and your hiking stamina over to Deschutes National Forest, less than 10 miles to the east, where you can spend the day hiking and cycling among some incredible scenery. Or, make a picnic lunch and head over to Fort Rock Park. Also, there are plenty of shops and galleries to visit in The Village at Sunriver where you can also sit down to a great meal at one of Sunriver's seven places to eat and enjoy a sundae at Goodies, Sunriver's landmark ice cream shop.

Come enjoy a fun and memorable getaway in the pleasant, high-desert climate of Sunriver and see how nice life is on the other side of the Cascades! While you're there, make this beautiful home your special haven where you'll appreciate the great amenities inside, and the proximity to the recreational options that are a natural part of Sunriver.

Please be aware that the Sunriver SHARC center has implemented new rules and regulations regarding occupancy, amenities, and access. Please see their website for more details.

Nice potential but missing some easy upgrades. Kitchen cookware so so, old saggy recliners, very basic cable in living room on small tv (no ESPN!). Bring a Roku or fire stik! Bike chains unreliable despite attempts to adjust. Nice hot tub and pool table (though pockets are falling apart). Good beds. Lovely area.

This would be a great place for a large family or a two families to come together, play pool, maybe some board games, and soak in the hot tub. Lots of space and very comfortable beds.

The house was clean and accommodated our party of 6 nicely. I have a few comments and suggestions. Things I would recommend: extra pillow cases for the extra pillows, more dish towels in the kitchen and a few dish cloths in the kitchen. Comments: the tower fan in the master bedroom makes a squealing noise periodically (woke me up a time or two), the AC makes noise like it’s running but does not cool the home (in fact the temperature goes up after turning it on), we used the cool night air with windows open to cool the house and closed them when it began to warm up but between 1:00-ish and 6:00ish pm, the house was VERY warm, with no cooling capability. The home seems old and could use updates in some areas: screens on all windows, repair accordion doors on closets. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Having access to bikes was amazing and riding through Sunriver was so cool!

We really enjoyed the hot tub and the bikes. The fireplace worked well. There were only 2 of us in the house so we had plenty of room. We never used the game room or pool table. The house was definitely dated and could use some updates especially in the bedroom carpets and the baseboards. Kitchen was fairly well stocked and spacious.

We enjoyed the Dutchman 5 this past week. The bikes were nice and saved us from renting. We had a low temp Hottub but with a phone call this was fixed within 25 minutes which was outstanding. Location is a bit away Friday m the Village where we’ve stayed on previous visits to Sunriver, but it was extremely quiet and enjoyed the privacy of the back area. The tv selection was limited and no sports packages, however that was probably a good thing. The pool table and side room was a hit with us and provided many hours of entertainment and enjoyment. Great kitchen setup as we cooked several meals.

Some things we enjoyed about staying at the Dutchman house was that it was clean and stocked nicely with all the things to make you feel like your in your own home. The Hot tub was fantastic and we'll maintained. The indoor space with the pool table was a perfect place to play pool and although we didn't get a chance to use the bicycles they looked pretty nice as well. All and all it was a nice place to stay and we'd recommend it
