Belfast, Maine
Relax and have meals in the sunroom/porch with a spectacular view of an expansive tidal river cove. For the 4 hours around high tide, launch your kayak, canoe or rowing skull off the dock, and paddle/row 3 miles out to Belfast Harbor—or a mile or so up the peaceful river. Bike the rail trail to town, and return across the pedestrian bridge and on a quiet road along the river. This comfortable house sleeps 6 in 4 bedrooms, one of which has a handicap-accessible bathroom. There are also 2 upstairs full baths, a large living/dining room, a lovely kitchen-with-a-view, a handicap accessible garage entrance, and wifi.
Incredible property with incredible views.
To one and ALL, This place rocks. The location, house and staff were above our expectations. From our warm greeting to the time, we locked the door and went home we felt like royalty.
We had the most amazing time in the house. Our family 6 had enough space, and bathrooms, for everyone to not feel on top of each other. The pictures of the view don’t capture the amazing view! We can’t wait to rent again!
We came here on a couples vacation and could not have been happier with the large rooms, the beautiful views, and the convenient location. There was some confusion as to the sleeping accommodations because the listing said six bedrooms, and there were only four. The twins were smaller than your average twins, and the tv was VERY small (which was a disappointment for the football fans in our group), but the bathrooms were large and two of them were modern. Overall, it was a wonderful house and the pictures do not do it justice. There is a great trail nearby. The town is very close and had several stores and restaurants. We would absolutely come back!!!!
We had a wonderful long weekend at Susan’s house. Susan was super responsive to all our questions and communications and made us feel very much at home. We were planning to stay in town but this place was perfect - lovely views of the river and only a 4 minute drive into downtown Belfast. It’s close to a walking/biking trail that goes to downtown Belfast (and next time we’ll bring our bikes). The kitchen is well equipped - we cooked several meals and she had everything we needed. We enjoyed evenings reading by the gas fireplace.
This was the perfect place to get away to in Maine. The house is spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed with gorgeous views of the rolling meadows with apple trees and a large boat dock on the tidal river - all within a short backyard walk from the house. Highly recommended for kayaking and then walking or biking along the nearby Rail Trail to town. We met the owner and her family, the absolutely nicest people, who did everything and more to welcome us and make us feel at home, in their home. You will enjoy the bright and sunny glassed-in porch and large modern kitchen, with comfortable furniture in every room and sparkling clean bathrooms. Enjoy!
