This house has historic charm - if you're looking for a new construction stay - this might not be the place for you. The convenient East Liberty location is close to the zoo, aquarium, Highland Park, many universities, the Strip, restaurants, grocery store options and so much more!

Pictures are old and filtered. They do not properly represent the property. The house smelled moldy/musty upon arrival. We bombed it with most of a can of lysol. The house immediately failed expectations. However we were choosing to make the best of it. Even after the neighbor (it's a duplex, you share a wall and porch) stood in her doorway and stared at us. We smiled and waved/said hello. We were returned with a blank peering stare and no response. We trudeged on. None of this was going to ruin our vacation....right? It makes for a funny story to remember....right? UNTIL we saw roaches. NOPE, NOT OK. THEN we lost power! One of our guest had a medical device requiring power. We spent most of day 2 of a 3 day trip scrambling to find an acceptable place to stay. The host was non responsive. The neighborhood is sketchy. Then had to spend extra money due to new accommodations. Currently requesting a full refund. Save your money and your vacation...do not book here!
Property was in an awesome location and ready for an early check in. Janet was always available to communicate and was more then accommodating. 10/10 would recommend!
We had a wonderful stay. The house was in pristine condition when we checked in, the beds were very comfortable, and the house was nicely decorated. There was plenty of space and everything we needed for supplies in the kitchen and plenty of clean towels, which were a nice touch! Parking was easy to find, and the house has a nice little yard area. Janet was very friendly and the check in and check out processes were a breeze! I tend to have high standards with where I stay, and this property definitely exceeded those. I would definitely book this house for a future stay in Pittsburgh. Thanks Janet!!
Janet was very nice and great to respond with any issues. The property was clean enough although the area wasn't the greatest. Would not recommend for families with children.
Very close to universities and museums, house is very comfortable. New appliances in the kitchen and A/C in the bedrooms and dining room.
The place was the perfect size for my group of friends. It was an easy location to have as our homebase as we explored. Pittsburgh and I especially enjoyed getting up early and climbing up to the Garfield community garden at the top of the hill. Everything was just as described, and it’s a place I would definitely recommend to others looking for a comfortable space to enjoy Pittsburgh from
We were in town for the Taylor Swift concert and had a nice stay at Janet's place. The house was spacious and comfortable. The only con I would say is that the area was not very walkable.
We ended up coming to town during the Marathon weekend. It was not ideal since we wanted to get to the strip but it was not feasible for getting out of town. We enjoyed the VRBO we chose, quiet neighborhood and easy to get around.
A nice place to stay while you explore wonderful Pittsburgh!
This is a really lovely home in a lovely neighborhood with a lot of great restaurants and shopping close by. Highly recommended!
Some friends and I had a great stay here. The location is perfect to get to Highland Park/East Liberty/Shadyside or over the hill to Lawrenceville. The house was clean and we enjoyed using the kitchen to cook some meals. We will definitely stay here again when in town to visit family.
on the border of highland park/east liberty. it's a perfect location to both of the above, shadyside, Lawrenceville, downtown & the stadiums. would stay again if we come back! clean & lots if street parking
The best parts about this stay are the very comfortable beds (although they might be a bit tight for 2 sleepers), quality AC units in bedrooms, beautiful decor, easy-to-use security system, Netflix in the living room, and we never had an issue parking outside. I am happy we stayed here.
We had such a wonderful stay at Janet’s place. The proximity to Whole Foods, restaurants, Target, Trader Joe’s was invaluable while we had to move our son into school. Fully stocked with fresh and clean linens and towels, washer and dryer, detergent, toaster, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave and coffee makers - we did not miss a thing. We had a few warm days but we never even used the window A/C downstairs - she has two bedrooms upstairs with window A/C units which came in handy a few nights. Five stars all around! Thank you Janet!
We stayed for a month with two small kids. The garden and patio were nice to play. The house was comfy and Janet was quick to help us with questions and needs we had. We do think the pictures are a little flattering, the house does have neighbors and is not very big. At the time of our stay the third bedroom was not equipped for a long stay, with an old couch and lack of a fan. She did tell us she worked on our feedback.
Communication with owner was great. Even sent over an extra fan for the third bedroom given the weather forecast for some hot days. Would stay again.
Confortable and ckean home with lots of extra touches to make our stay wonderful. Loved the colorful art and big dinning area. Close to restaurants, grocery stores. Easy to get to anywhere in the city in a nice neighborhood area. Would definitely stay again!
Wonderful place. Very clean. Host was wonderful. Thanks!
