Boyne City has at least 4 city parks, very nice farmers market, A city park makes a great way to catch the sunset into Lake Charlevoix.
The whole downtown area of Boyne city is one park after another along the shores of Lake Charlevoix and the Boyne River feeding into it snakes it way through the back side of main street into the lake.
You can also walk to three small fishing decks across the highway in Boyne Aire Biz Park. Hardly anyone knows about them. Nice hike down a trail to the river bank.
Property is nestled at the base of one of the tallest mountains in the area called 'Old Maids Nipple'. The view up the mountains through the exotic swaying fern grove is breathtaking from back of the house. Gardens everywhere and solar lights abound at night to create a fairy tale space day and night.
I live in a private entrance in the lower level to keep gardens up and assure that each guests has everything they need a moments notice.

Day before arriving I sent a note asking for key pad combo. No reply. Same day sent another and said we’d be there in a few hours. We got there. They were not expecting us for another day. Adult son of host came up, Asked us to come back in an hour or so to clean and shovel. Came back after supper. Host (and kids?) live in lower level. Asked about hot tub, they said it was only 80 deg, have to wait till tomorrow. Checked it out and hose was filling an empty tub. Tv didn’t work. Place smelled like smoke. Super nice host, she refunded and we moved on to stay in Gaylord and travel 30min each day to boyne.
The house was very clean and loved the hot tub! Would stay again.
Sally was a great hostess
Some friends and I stayed to be close to lake Charlevoix. It was perfect. Nice and close to town and host was very nice.
Sally was a lovely host and she took great care of us. Would def recommend to others!
I stayed at Sally’s with my 2 young adult children for a few days of skiing at Boyne Mountain. Sally was a friendly and hospitable host who went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Her rental home was furnished with all the conveniences from soap to coffee and tea. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and furnished robes. Excellent location to enjoy Boyne Mountain and Boyne City. I would recommend staying at Sally’s.
This was a great space for our family of 4. The kitchen was fully stocked and there is a good size living room with a comfy couch. The half bathroom is located outside of the main living area (off the entry way/mud room space). The hot tub is located on a small hill which makes it a bit slippery to get to/from in the winter.
The interior was so cute I loved it all! I do wish it had mentioned it was a shared hot tub but we didnt run into anyone else too much, and the hot tub and surrounding area was amazing. Had such a great time here I would definitely come back:)
It was enjoyable to stay here and was about halfway between our destinations of Mackinac island and Tunnel of trees.
We popped in for a couple day stay. Very relaxing homey feel. Loved the whirlpool.
