Stayed Sep 13, 2021The inside was really nice, but the outside was unusable, Too many weeds. I expected it to be really close to downtown as that is the way it was hyped. It was over a mile away. We had a good time anyway.

Stayed Aug 15, 2021Inside the Art House was great. The outside was a mess; the yard and courtyard were overgrown, and the outside furniture were not useable while we were there. The writeup should have stated that there were steps throughout the house. Some people might not be able to maneuver steps. The steep concrete steps down to the house should have been mentioned in the advertisement of the house. The directions to the Art House were fine until you turn left on Georgia St. (the directions state, you take a right on Gordon St. (which is a narrow step dirt alley)). It should state go to the end of Georgia St. and turn right on 13th Street and then turn right at the next street, Alabama St., go to the end of the street and the house on your right 613 is the Art House. The listing says under “what the place offers” FREE PARKING ON PREMISES, but there was none. Also, Breakfast is provided. This was a package of instant oatmeal and coffee. Upon departure, we were told to place used linin and bedding in the hamper and take the trash to the trash bins locater on the street curb. We never had to do this anywhere we have ever stayed.

Stayed Jan 4, 2026Wonderful house! Spacious, sunny and super cozy with fun artsy decor. Super comfortable. Well- stocked kitchen , very comfy bed. It’s next to a highway but it’s quiet at night and noise was never a problem. Nice outside sitting area. We were there in winter and the house was always warm. Truly a sweet spot!

Stayed Sep 25, 2025Was a great place to stay for what we needed. Very close to the college and downtown. You could walk about a half mile to downtown. The only negative is the noise from the busy road and the parking on the street, no garage. Also, if you are in a wheel chair this place is not for you. Steep steps down to get to property and each room is a step down or step up.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025The house is welcoming with wonderful natural light throughout, especially the eastern light in the living room for morning coffee. Beds are very comfortable and outdoor space is private. Like that things are labeled.Guest mgr was wonderful and responsive to our requests. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed May 23, 2025A wonderful little funky house. The art outside and inside the house made for a wonderful few days. Comfortable and convenient to the Blues Fest as well as the rest of town. The four of us all slept well and enjoyed our time there. Hope to reserve for next year.

Stayed Aug 12, 2024We enjoyed our stay at the Art House. The location is central to in and out of town activities. The house is both comfortable and well equipped. The house is not accessible, the entry being down several steps with no ramp available. Inside there are several changes of level between rooms. Our group was older and found these changes required extra attention to negotiate safely. Overall, a lovely house and host.

Stayed Jul 4, 2024House was nice and clean but hot we arrived. Air Con is a window unit on in the living room and dining room. Bedroom was hot at 104 degrees at Silver. Bedrooms only has fans. Beds and pillows was comfy. I would recommend to replace the tiny, dirty and rusted toaster. Really did not want to use it. Guest pays good hard earned money to see that type of equipment is disappointing especially it only cost $10 and can be used for years to come. Listing stated a short walk to downtown, maybe for younger generations but not to mid sixties and seventies folks. Overall , nice comfy home with good size outdoors.
