We were all impressed with the property. It was a convenient location. The rooms were comfortable. We all really enjoyed our weekend.
We stayed for a weekend with our college age children for a week of skiing location was great, the rooms were quaint and amazing. Internet was horrible and we needed to use multiple hotspots. A little outdated but overall a great place to stay
Good house for a large group. Plenty of bedrooms with bathrooms. The kitchen, dining and living rooms are spacious. We spent most mornings and evenings relaxing on the front porch which provides wonderful mountain views. FYI: The house WiFi is quite weak and the kitchen oven does not heat properly. We were disappointed with the golf course across the road as the tee boxes and greens were in extremely poor condition. However, the Wildcat Falls at the bottom of Carter Notch Road was an unexpected gem. Overall, a good place for a large family gathering.
Carter Notch Lodge is absolutely magical. We had a family ski vacation with family from Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania. The 14 inches of snow was the icing on the cake! Jackson itself is a magical place, and the lovely Inn was perfect. With eight well appointed guest rooms, all with bathrooms except one, which had its own bath in the hallway, gas logs in each room, we were all able to be together when we wanted, and be alone when we wanted. The lodge has a huge kitchen where we could all gather to cook together, and a large dining room table we could all sit together to eat. We are definitely coming back.
14 of us stayed at the Carter Notch Inn and it was just perfect. I know that some of the older reviews said that it’s dated, but that wasn’t our experience, so perhaps it’s been updated. Hightlights: - The bedrooms were comfortable, all but one having a private bath. - The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of wine glasses, coffee cups, dishes, pots, etc. - Driveway and walkways/porches were cleared whenever they needed to be - Plenty of seating in the dining room for all of us - TV room was large enough for 8 or 9 of us to watch a movie (on a HUGE screen) and was a nice spot to go in the morning for some quiet time. We had a couple of issues early-on (we couldn’t figure out how to run the dishwasher and the internet was down when we wanted to watch the Bills in the playoffs … sadly, they lost) and Keith responded immediately, getting both issues fixed on the same day. AND, they arranged for snow so we were able to Xcountry ski the entire week. Overall, our stay was amazing and I would highly recommend the Carter Notch Inn.
The house was great for our large group. Had plenty of rooms and bathrooms and had large hangout areas for adults and teens. Location was close to ski resort. The rental group was easy to work with and responded quickly to all correspondences. Very happy with our stay.
We had a wonderful stay here over Christmas 2022. This home had everything we needed and was well located. We spent the days skiing, sitting by the wood burning fire and cooking good food. Each room had a bathroom and fireplace so everyone was comfortable and could retreat to their own space as they wished. This is an excellent spot for a big family gathering. I appreciated its old New England charm especially at Christmas time. Thank you!!
The Inn, the property, the location were all perfect. There were 12 adults (6 couples) and everyone had their own bedroom and bath. Plenty of room to congregate and a wonderful porch with a great view of surroundings. Great fireplace. We had a ball. We all would book this place again. Great for the whole group.
The house is very comfortably sized for our large group of 13 adults and 2 children. Most bedrooms have an ensuite bath, large common eating area. However, the house has suffered from a lack of maintenance. The dishwasher was not working - while we reported this within an hour of check in- it was still not addressed 2+ days later. We resorted to the internet to try to problem solve the issue and were able to get it working. The whole third floor smelled funky/horrible when we arrived - unclear of the source (something died in the attic vs plumbing issue - that bad a smell). After airing the house out for a day or so, the smell thankfully dissipated. Gardens and walkways are overgrown with weeds. It has the potential to be such a lovely house, I hope someone will give it the TLC it deserves to keep it up and available.
Good location with good space for the entire family.
Very unique The property was very unique and different it was a former bed-and-breakfast. So it was very convenient for a family of 15. I spent most of my time on the front porch rounding up my seven young grandchildren. The most difficult part of our stay was trying to figure out what bedroom to take it was a very peaceful and fun stay definitely stay there again
