McCloud, California
This 3 bedroom 2 bath home was renovated in 2011, we kept the wood floors in the living room, raised the ceiling back to the original height, and kept the claw foot tub for soaking. We then added a extra large marble shower. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is also large with an plenty of space for group cooking. The front porch is great for watching the sun rise, while the back deck is great for bbq's and evening gatherings.
The rental is old, not insulated, the floor is not level and I tripped easily, so it’s not safe. the beds were all old, lumpy and uncomfortable. The decor looks like all 2nd hand pieces. The curtains were torn and did not fully cover windows. The shower head wasAwful. There was no TV/Internet. I had to unplug and mess with it all day my1st day. Owner has no one local to address problems. The exterior walking/use areas were dirty, full of leaves and tree debris. It was warm yesterday but I could not use the porch or patio due to dirt/mess. I asked the Owner for a partial refund, request of $100 minimum. She gave me $50. I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE. THIS WAS THE WORST VRBO STAY of my lifetime. DO NOT RENT THIS DUMPY PLACE!
Nice place
Lots of clean towels, dishes, cookware. Had a microwave, a coffee pot, and an electric tea pot. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of hot water. 3 minute walk to the Dance Hall.
Wonderful little home in McCloud - Down town close to everything. Would highly recommend it if you're looking for a place for the whole family.
Cloud 9 was a comfortable and inviting. We really enjoyed our stay.
This spot was the perfect home base for my 5 adult friends and I after long days alpine touring on Mount Shasta. The home is comfortable and well-stocked. I would have liked a scratch-pad in the kitchen in addition to sponges, only so I could have gotten the dishes more clean. The homeowner was quick and responsive when I asked a question about the entry process. Location is perfect for walking into the heart of little McCloud to see the shops. We did not spend time in the yard at all so I have no review of that space.
This is a very nicely decorated moderate sized older house with a wonderful kitchen for cooking extensive meals. And the best wood stove I've seen. The neighborhood is very quiet and easy to reach. McCloud is twelve miles from the city of Mt. Shasta and therefore a relatively easy drive to Bunny Flats up on Mt. Shasta for skiing, snowshoeing, and playing in the snow. We also visited Castle Craigs State Park that is back towards Redding. So there are various choices for winter outdoor activities. We hiked at the State Park and snowshoed starting at Bunny Flats. We've been to the area for a number of Christmases, but this was the best year.
Loved being able to walk to breakfast and dinner. Great location for exploring the town. Amazing hosts.
Love the location and ease of walking in town with access to restaurants and pubs. House was well appointed and suitable for our group.
Such a cute property. Amazing hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Great location!
Lovely stay in a cozy, comfortable home. Perfect landing spot after a day of sightseeing, or hiking. Walkable to the restaurants and shops in McCloud, but still a quiet spot. Definitely will book again if coming to the area.
My friend and I had a great time fishing the McCloud area from our base at this wonderful house. Had everything we needed and was super convenient location to all the restaurants in the downtown. Highly recommend.
