Wind surfing capital of the world is Hood River's latest distinction. The winds from the Columbia River Gorge, best during the middle of the day, create ideal conditions for riding the waves. To enjoy the view of "boardheads" at play, drive to the Columbia Gorge Sailpark or follow Second Street to the waterfront.
The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. The mountain is home to four ski areas and offers the country's only year-round skiing and snowboarding.
Very nice property. If it's hot start making ice cubes. Ice maker does not work. I left it full for the next tenant. Was everything we hoped for and more. Everything went perfect, and nothing was amiss. My wife and I are thinking of going back by ourselves for a vacation. We were there for our daughter's wedding and we couldn't have asked for more.
We rented this property because our daughter was married at a Hood River wedding venue. The townhome worked well for our needs as we shared it with our older daughter and her husband. It was a very hot weekend and the AC functioned very well! We had lovely views of Mt. Adams from the primary bedroom. We would have been happier about complying with the hosts’ request to remove shoes at the door if the carpets had been clean. The tub in the primary bath needs a new diverter—it was only on the last day that we got ALL of the water to go through the shower!
The house worked but was not the best for young children. Steps can be a bit steep. Bedrooms don’t have black out curtain options for children. Overall worked well for our family
We had a good time. This place is good for two couples.
The space was enjoyable and had all we needed for some indoor relaxation during our rainy visit. Great location with a short drive or moderate walk to many restaurants and breweries.
Place was just as described. Nice and clean and worked well for me and my family, including a toddler and dog. Only about a 15 min walk to downtown which is nice. Only small thing is the TV/entertainment center; it's a little outdated and somewhat confusing to work. Would have been great if there were some streaming options, otherwise the channel selection is pretty limited. However, we will definitely look to stay here again.
We stayed here for my son’s 25th birthday. The condo was in walking distance of downtown and in a very quiet neighborhood.
A perfectly cozy and roomy stay for my workweek in Hood River. My husband and baby had plenty of room to play and lounge. Thanks!
Great light and an interesting layout. The two king suites provide ample space and the space overall is comfortable. Some issues came up worth noting. The garage door would open on its own if we didn't latch lock it (this was of particular concern to us as we were storing expensive mountain bikes in there) — we woke up after the first night with the garage door wide open. Many of the dishes in the cupboard did not appear to be clean, requiring that we hand wash before using. The water pressure in the shower of the front king suite bathroom was pretty low.
Property was as advertised. Wished it was closer to downtown.
