Your whole family will enjoy this warm and welcoming Carnelian Bay retreat, including the dog! The quiet neighborhood is easily walkable to the shores of sparkling Lake Tahoe. Everyone will appreciate the comfort and convenience of this 4+ bedroom, 3 bathroom family cabin with kids' room adjacent to the master, downstairs bedroom for those whom stairs are undesired, bonus media room with sofabed for a 5th sleeping room, front and back decks to enjoy, and very well-appointed kitchen.
As you enter the home into the open-plan living, dining, kitchen, you will be drawn to the new plush sectional sofa inviting you to sit back and relax to watch a game on the new TV, play a game, or have a lively conversation with friends and family. The adjacent dining area has a table with seating for 6 and additional seating at the kitchen bar counter. In the well-appointed kitchen, the cooks in your group will find almost any tools one would need to prepare family-size meals as they chat with friends and family sitting at the bar. There is a brand-new deck out front, where there is a propane grill for summer cookouts, and another deck out back to enjoy a cup of coffee or read a book to the sounds of birds singing in the forest.
There is a queen bedroom downstairs, as well as a "media room", and piano room. The media room is a great lounge for guests of all ages, as it has a TV, toys and games for the kids, as well as a sofa that conveniently folds out to a queen size sofabed. The attached small piano room leads to the back deck and will make you feel like a welcome friend of the family that owns this lovely home. For those who can't leave work behind on vacation, the piano room has a door, and small workspace perfect for a video conference or some quiet concentration. There is a laundry room and shared full bathroom on this main living level.
Upstairs the ceilings are all vaulted. To the left is a private bedroom with a king bed, small desk and a balcony only accessed from this room. To the right are two more rooms. The "twin room" has three twin beds and a full bed. The master bedroom is accessed through the twin room. It is quite spacious, has a king bed and en-suite bathroom. There is an additional full bathroom in the hall on this level.
This lovingly decorated vacation home is sure to be a hit with the whole family. Enjoy being just a short stroll from Lake Tahoe's shores at Carnelian Bay, mini golf and arcade in the summer, a breakfast cafe, a pizzeria/bistro, outdoor lakefront dining and cocktails at Garwoods, as well as hiking and biking trails nearby with no need to drive.
This home has been leased for winter 2021ski from January to May. It is a 20-minute drive to Northstar California Resort and 25 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows. Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area is only 9 minutes away, and the home sits on a property that provides plenty of space for the kids to play in the snow right in your yard.

There will be a $100 pet fee plus tax for each dog upon approval.
PLEASE NOTE: This home may be equipped with outdoor surveillance cameras and electric bear fencing that are utilized for security and bear activity in the area. These cameras in no way infringe upon guests' privacy, and monitor exterior portions of the home exclusively. Decks and BBQ grills may NOT be available during winter months, exterior areas may be icy. This home is not equipped with AC. Per Placer County Short term rental laws, quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, and no street parking is permitted at any time, including boats and trailers. We recommend purchasing 3rd party trip insurance if you have concerns about canceling your reservation.
Wells & Bennett Realtors requires $500 of your reservation total due upon booking and the remainder due sixty days prior to check-in.
Cancellation Policy / Cancellation fee: If cancellation is made more than 60 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will be applied.
If the cancellation is made within 60 (or less) days of arrival, the entire rent will be retained unless Wells and Bennett Realtors is able to re-rent the specified property.
If the property is re-rented, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will still apply, but the remainder of rent will be refunded after the replacement guests have checked out.
Holiday Booking Policy
CHRISTMAS - Check-In must be by December 20th, 21st, or 22nd. There is a 5 to 7 night minimum stay required. (Must check out by December 28th at latest, to allow 7 days for a New Years Reservation.) **No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 24th, 25th
NEW YEARS - Check-In must be on December 27, 28, or 29. There is a 7 night minimum stay required. **No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 31st or January 1st

Enjoying place to stay for Christmas. Close to beautiful scenery and beaches. Plenty of room for everyone.
It was a very clean house and had a lot of space. The tables were large enough for all of us to play games and have fun.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It is in a great location and has a cozy feel.
Great cabin. However management said we weren't supposed to gather or have a party. Why else would we go? They said we were too noisy. There was another party two doors down going on as well. We have a video of it.
Grandparents, children and grandchildren came and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was well appointed, had space for alone time and togetherness, and was close to all the things! Beach, grocery stores, hikes and simply enjoyment of the natural beauty.
The house was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped and easy to prepare meals in.
Overall, the house is very comfortable for a big family out for a snow trip. One note, please be careful when moving the fridge during cleaning.
How was great. We had 8 people between 2 families stay at the house. Plenty of room for all. House was clean and very cozy. I would definitely stay again
My family and I really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The layout and size provided the perfect amount of space for 2 small households. The cabin is in good condition and we would stay again. Having to go out of the way to pick up and drop off keys was a drawback. I would suggest employing the use of a digital keypad lock or lockbox to make it more convenient for renters.
We enjoyed this property very much. There was plenty of room and it was close to the lake.
