Casco, Maine
This is a classic maine Sebago Lake camp on a sandy gradual entry beach, with great swimming, boating and fishing. The sunset views are incredible looking west over the Dingley islands and the distant white mountains. Situated at the end of a dirt road, adjacent to Migis Lodge, this camp is great for small families. It has 2 plus bedrooms and can sleep 4-6 people. It has a great sandy beach swimming area and a cove for wildlife watching. There is a small dock and a mooring that can handle boats upto 18ft. It is a unique and a great spot for a Sebago vacation.
This property is really special, and reminded me of the cabins we would stay at in the area when I was a kid. The fact that they've maintained the original details really adds to the charm. It came with all of the necessities we would need for a perfect week at the lake, including clean linens and towels, kayaks, kitchen equipment, etc. The sunset views can't be beat, and the porch overlooking the lake was a dream for nightly cocktails and dinner. We cannot wait to return to the cabin next summer!
Needed rest and recovery and got it Spectacular sunsets, nice surroundings, friendly host nearby. All appliances equipment needed. It has a retro campy feel which we loved.
The camp is rustic, yet comfortable. The proximity to the water is great. The beach is sandy, nice and shared by 3 (or 4?) camps. The other side of the driveway has a cove not appropriate for swimming but, my kids loved fishing there which was perfect. My kids had friends stay one night that exceeded the 6 person limit by 4. The next morning the owners came over from next door to make sure we didn't exceed the 6 person limit again. We didn't plan to have the extra guests stay and didn't intend to again. After that we felt our comings and goings were continuously watched. It made our stay pretty uncomfortable. Most of the week it was just my daughter and I so, I feel as though the septic usage was minimal but, I can certainly appreciate the concern having had a rental cottage with a septic myself. I hesitated to write this review but, I would certainly want to know. The owners are lovely but a little too close for our comfort.
Perfect family vacation spot, nice cottage with vintage feel, nice sandy beach and awesome sunsets. Everyone had a great time there.
Comfortable, beautiful spot on Sebago. The owners were welcoming and happy to share their special place. Lots of outdoor activities and amenities close by. We enjoyed the screen porch and the close proximity to the lake the most. Can’t wait to go back next summer!
