We had seven people in total - two kids, and five adults. There was plenty of room for everyone - a great big dining table for everyone to fit around, lots of comfy seating, and the softest beds I've ever slept in. The view to the river is picture perfect, and sitting in the hot tub while it snowed was just what we needed after long days up the mountain. The place was very clean and had pretty much everything you need - lots of toilet paper and toiletries were provided, there were towels for the bathrooms and the hot tub, and the kitchen was stocked with the basics too. We also noticed that the pans seemed pretty new, and the only head scratcher was the drawer full of whisks? (My niece counted at least nine!) The only thing to note is that the road to the house can be a bit tricky with the wrong kind of tires. My sister's rental car had some trouble getting out, but that's on us and not the house! Loved this place and would definitely stay again.
This was a beautiful cabin in the woods, and the location on the river was great. Close to walking and hiking trails.
Our stay was great. The house was clean and had many entertaining things to do with the family. The game room in the garage had a bad internet signal, but other than this everything was great. the kitchen was fully stocked with all you need to have a nice vacation which usually not the case in these rental properties.
The size & comfort of this house fit the needs of our large group of friends. It is beautifully situated close to the Salmon River & easily accessible from the Portland area.
We enjoyed our stay at your home. The location was perfect. The furniture was showing wear and could use a little updating.
We loved everything about this property: the access to the river, the detached game room, the hot tub, high vaulted ceilings with views of the towering fir trees, proximity to great hikes, and spacious interior (slept 12 comfortably). Wish our stay could have been longer.
This is our second year in a row coming to this vacation property! Overall the home and property are amazing. There is plenty of room within the house to spread out and the kitchen is fully stocked for any meal you’d wish to prepare! Unfortunately we were disappointed by a couple things this year. One, there was a large wasp/bee nest on a tree that blocked our river access. The kids were unable to safely get down to the water without risk of being stung. This was quite the bummer seeing as how we pay a lot of money for the river “access”. This is something that should be promptly taken care of so it does not become a liability issue. We also noticed that the upstairs shower did not drain well. This meant we were standing in several inches of water every time we showered, and the water would take several hours to drain from the tub after use. Again, neither of these are “end of the world” problems. But, when you pay so much to rent a property these are not things guests should be dealing with.
We had a great time at the house.Beautiful location on the river. House had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
This house was very comfortable for our group of six adults and one infant. The location on the river is really nice and there are great hiking trails right up the road. Very close to Mt. Hood and there is a grocery store and restaurants close by. The property managers were very responsive to anything we needed. I would stay here again.
So secluded. House is stocked with so many things for cooking etc . Spacious and homey!!!! We LOVED it so much!
Great, cozy stay in a secluded cabin literally a stones throw from the river. Absolutely beautiful. Will stay again if in the area. Really have no complaints.
This property was beautiful inside and out--the photos don't really do it justice. Plenty of room for everyone in a gorgeous setting. Would definitely stay here again!
If you want to be on the Salmon River, like hot tubs, and close to Mount Hood Forest, those are the pluses. The minuses are the interior of the house in general. It is outdated and needs much improvement. i.e. new carpet, get rid of old brown rugs, needs a new oven/stove and some nice blankets on the beds. For close to $1000 per night over Thanksgiving weekend, I except better. I would not rent it again.
We absolutely loved our stay. The kitchen is well stocked, plenty of room for our two families and kids, really charming setting being on the river and such fun games for the kids. We look forward to staying again for sure.
Our family loved staying here - especially my 1 year old! Wonderful space indoors and out, with great amenities. Can’t wait to visit again!
Wow , we loved this lodge! Well stocked, clean, and in a great location! Loved the River backyard, covered hot tub and close to stores if we needed something. We want to come back in the summer!
The house was lovely, especially the river just out the back door. We had a lot of fun with the basketball game in the garage, the beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of room to spread out. However—and it's a big however—the dishwasher was broken, and with six adults, three kids, and an infant, it was a lot to hand-wash the dishes three times a day. Additionally, the power went out on our second night there—and then the water went off, because (presumably) an electric pump pumps the water in from a well. Without drinking water or toilet water or heat or lights, we had to leave the next morning. That was four days ago, and we've yet to hear anything from Vacasa beyond a thank you for reaching out, we'll do our best to assist you.
Great house sits in the salmon River. Big trees shade the property and house. Nice comfy king beds.big kitchen fully equipped, Eve had a kitchen aide mixer. Issues with the stove burner and upstairs shower. Nice deck, fun hidden game room behind the garage and a four person hot tub.
There was only one problem with this stay………it was too short!
This house was exactly as pictured. Spacious, spotless and set in a beautiful location. The property is situated on the Salmon river with a nice bank for the kids to play on. Property was super clean and had everything we needed and plenty of room for our group of 12.
