Classic Lake Winnipesaukee Home with modern amenities. Sleeps 15

This was the PERFECT house for our large group of family and friends! Great location, lots of privacy, lots of room for everyone inside and out! This little corner of the lake is quiet but has lots of fun things to do in the lake and lots of space for yard games. And the living room table is a great size for a large group to play games. A perfect balance of old-school lake camp and modern bedrooms and bathrooms.

We had a wonderful week long family gathering at the lake in the Doughman home. Nicer than the photos, very spacious and clean. Great proximity to the lake and amazingly quiet and private. The perfect balance of feeling cozy in the woods but also being lakeside. We all loved it!

Very private lot, with lots of wooded lake frontage. Nice boat dock and a great deck overlooking the lake, which is very unusual for Lake Winni. The house is a classic lake house, and held our group of 8 adults and 4 kids comfortably. It's older and not elegant, but if you're looking for a lake vacation on a beautiful piece of property, this is the place. Well stocked kitchen and large living room with plentiful seating. There is an addition that has 3 BR and a bath, and it is well integrated into the original part. Only the 3 newer BR have AC. Although it was hot a couple of days, those in the older BR were comfortable with the fans.

Great stay! Updated bathrooms and kitchen. Wonderful house but still maintains that great lake cottage feel.

The property itself is wooded and larger than I first thought. It provides a nice level of privacy even on a busy weekend with. All the neighbors up. Coffee on the deck overlooking the water quickly became a favorite morning ritual. Really enjoyed the place. If you enjoy a more rustic experience (I grew up in a summer setting just like this) and are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the water. I highly recommend. Close proximity to Wolfeboro makes it easy to get groceries, gas, grab dinner or even an impromptu put-put tournament if the spirit moves you:

The weather was absolutely perfect, the house has so much room to move around in with great views of the water from just about every window and all of the amenities of home. With 2 docks to just sit and relax and enjoy all the boats on the water as well as for swimming and boating. We just absolutely love this place!!

This being our first time renting a home, we were not sure what to expect. As soon as you turn on the street, you know its going to be peaceful and private. This house has everything you need with a great deck over the water and a seperate dock a little further down. It is a little wooded which is nice as you get to enjoy the variety of birds and little chipmunks. There are these unique huge boulders around the property to sit on and enjoy the peacefulness. We loved the interior wood as all the doors felt like castle doors because of their handles and the thickness of the doors. We caught fish all day long and there is a great ladder on the dock to go into the crisp clean water and be able to swim to their private raft. There was the perfect amount of sun and shade for everyone to enjoy the outdoors. Owners are wonderful to work with and proud of this house that their grandfather built. We will be renting this home again!
