Had a issue getting the code to work to let us in. We were told our cottage wasn’t ready even though no one stayed just before us. Had to have an inspector come by, to which I don’t think they came as there were a few dead bug’s laying out in plain view? That was one thing the inspectors was suppose check. I think they forgot we paid for early check in. The accommodations was ok. I bit dated/worn with a couple of damages,(torn screens, damaged burner on stove, ice maker doesn’t work but was all that we needed.
If all you care about is going to the beach. The house is fine. It was clean and kitchen was just ok. But if you’d like a nice overall beach and house experience…just to let you know…. This house is decorated in early ugly yard sale. Uncomfortable furniture and beds. Even new loveseat and sofa uncomfortable. I don’t know anyone besides my 2 year old granddaughter who has a 12” back. Ridiculous. Worn and torn bed sheets and mattress covers. Deck very splintered and deck furniture rotting. No views except of other homes decks and roofs. (Pictures on internet old and used telescopic lens) Felt very boxed in. Shrubs and trees overgrown. Backing out of driveway a danger. However, if you like privacy…you are surrounded by woods. Further, in an entire week we were never able to get the TV system to work. All we wanted to do was watch a couple of our favorite movies…no instructions…nothing. And internet…forget it. They put you on a low data mode so if you have any work to do, you won’t be able to do it. We do not recommend this house.
The property was exactly as described. The location was great, had sheets and towels which was a surprised, it just needs some updating but it was comfortable.
Short walk to beach. Close to local restaurants. Lots of historical things to see/do.
The owner allowed us at the last minute and because of the Hurricane to take the following two weeks that were not rented. It was much appreciated. It would be nice to receive a list of items that are not in the house such as salt and pepper, type of coffee filters, sugar, toilet paper, mop (the hall bath floor was sticky, but no mop available), and any other items that one does not normally take to rentals. We can figure out what clothes we need, but we had no way to know what coffee filters we needed for that early morning cup. The owner should consider getting a rental agency closer than an hour and a half away. There was one person in the Frisco area for maintenance but he was hard to contact because he was so busy. We loved the street and beach. It is nice to be within an easy walk even for two 85 year olds. We had no TV for the entire two weeks, but that was not the fault of the renters. Three appointments were made but none connected. We met the repair man one day leaving as we arrived. He was 4 hours late. He refused to stay and connect us. The wire from the house to the street was broken and I don't know why he couldn't fix it without us being there. The rental agency and owner are not to blame as the tv service is run by only one company which is common throughout the US and at least this one employee just doesn't give a darn. I would recommend this rental and would rent it again.
Close to the beach. Needs a little refresh (carpets, vinyl floors,paint...)
We’ve stayed in any location throughout the Outer Bank this was our favorite. Can’t wait to come back again.
Property was exactly as described and we loved being in Frisco. Owners were very accepting of our dog situation, and we appreciate it. But bring everything you need, not just linens, soap, dish soap, etc. I’ve never rented a house that didn’t have a little salt and oil in a cupboard somewhere. Not here. Except for a fine selection of cookware and tableware you must supply everything you need. A small price to pay for this location. We’ll be back.
