Stayed Dec 26, 2020Spacious, warm, comfortable. Great for a large family. Kitchen fully stocked, two ovens, two dishwashers. Beautiful location and private outdoor setting.

Stayed Dec 27, 2019I've stayed at many different large home rentals, both beach houses and mountain cabins. This house is absolutely pristine, inside and out! The attention to detail and design of the house is not of the caliber I've found in rental homes- regardless of price point. Everyone in our group had a great time, and loved the house and the well designed outside features. I would very highly recommend this cabin.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect for our family get together....11 people. With bedrooms on three levels, our families could be together in the common areas, and separated for sleeping....important with young children. Although it rained the entire weekend we were at Claralea, the kids found plenty to do...from exploring the wooded yard to enjoying the fire pit...bring rain boots and umbrellas. And when they got restless swimming, bowling, and ice cream filled the bill.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The outside picture of Claralea Lodge doesn't do it justice. The picture looks barren with gravel and just a few chairs. It was just the opposite. The stepping stones are part of a welcoming path surrounded by trees and a soothing creek nearby. On the upper deck and in the back of the lounge chairs are plenty of comfortable seating areas for a crowd. Then there's the picnic table with a fire pit a short distance between the home and the lake. Some maintenance issues were addressed quickly. Careful of the gas grill. It hadn't been cleaned of grease and caught fire. Maneuvering a larger boat in the cove was tricky. It is shallow with a narrow channel between the rocks. However, the house and cove are surrounded by beautiful wooded scenery everywhere you look. Kitchen was well stocked. All was basically clean. There was no king bed anywhere, but having three queen suites was appealing to all. The lower level with it's activity area, washer/dryer, TV, bath, and two bedrooms was perfect for a daughter's family of five including three small children. We enjoyed our annual activities– hiking at Muddy Creek and Swallow Falls, visiting Lakeside Creamery and Discovery Center by boat, pizza at Uno's and playing on the boat, elephant and giant chairs, lounging on the water in our inflatables, and catching up with family. Highly recommend if you don't mind the shallow water front.
