Chic Waterfront Dauphin Island cottage on white sandy beach

Enjoyed the house! Private beach and pier were great

It was our second time staying at Chic. We have become very comfortable at this house. The only thing we miss is having an area to sit on the sun on the back porch, it is completely covered, but we are sun lovers but it doesn’t keep us from staying there. Great quiet place and it is beautiful with a pier.

We had a bay view and it was stunning. We could see glimpses of the beach.But it was fine for us.

The dryer didn't work and was never fixed.

My husband and I, plus my mom just returned from a relaxing 4 night stay at this lovely beach house. The home is adorable, comfortable, stylishly decorated and extremely clean. The photos of this home are accurate, and it is apparent that it is well taken care of. There were plenty of bath linens, kitchen ware, extra bed linens, pillows, blankets etc. Both queen beds were comfortable. Did not use the singles. I read the reviews about window treatments and I had a concern ahead of time, but it was not an issue. Bedrooms had blinds and drapes, kitchen had an operational linen Roman shade. The only area without window coverings was the living room area that faced the back bay, or Mississippi Sound side of the property. It is a very private ‘backyard’. It was lovely to see the water and to watch the sky change color at sunrise & sunset. We have rented two other homes on Dauphin Island twice before that were on the Gulf side. We actually liked the location of this home more. It was a short, short hop to the beach, it was quiet and it felt private, especially when we were dining out on the back deck, or sitting outside with a glass of wine or in the a.m. in our pajamas. By the way, we loved the Adirondack chairs and my husband LOVED the outdoor shower! After one day, we felt very at home on this property. We would definitely rent it again.

Clean and nice

My husband and I absolutely loved this house. We had plenty of room for others, but needed this time for ourselves since we were celebrating our 26th anniversary. We sat on the covered back porch with coffee, fished off the private covered pier, and walked along the bay looking for shells. We had perfect weather! This cottage is a perfect getaway. If you fish and you do not have a boat it is very shallow here. I wish it had been a little deeper but that did not prevent us from giving this place five stars. We will definitely stay there again. Oh, and no grill, but we carried our own small griddle and bought grouper and shrimp. Dockside blackened shrimp didn't disappoint either! Wonderful place and pretty private except for neighbors working the crabs but that was rather interesting in itself.

We found the property in a really nice neighborhood, very clean and quiet. The home was decorated very beautifully and comfortable. We could see the bay from our back porch and enjoyed early morning and late evening relaxation. Gulf beach access was a short 5 min walk. We felt very comfortable and safe there.

We enjoyed our stay so very much! The Place was great , my wife said homey ! Would love to rent again .
