The neighborhood was quiet. Access easy. Parking good. The house smelled of bleach when we first entered, but all the windows were open so it cleared fairly quickly. Both 1-1/2 bathrooms worked well. Decent shower. TV and Internet worked well. Two bedrooms upstairs were adequate although noisy window air conditioners. The beds were not particularly comfortable, and the duvet was hot and very heavy, The pullout couch in the living room had no bedding. There were no hooks etc. in the bathrooms to hang towels. There were ants in the kitchen on the countertops. The kitchen was sparsely provisioned with old materials and appliances. I think the price was high compared to what was provided. I would not book this house again.
The house was close to what we needed. The area was quiet the beds were comfortable
The Pros- -Price was low -Was within the area we needed -Washer and dryer -House was furnished nicely -Comfortable bedding with extra blankets available -I was worried about the neighborhood when we got there because it looked kind of rough but it was quiet the whole time we were there. Cons- -This was a big one for us… Awful marijuana stench off and on while we stayed. Especially on Saturday night. I’m not talking about a little smell that can be ignored or you forget about after walking in the front door... I mean it had to have been the neighbor in the adjoining home and it was seeping through the vents. It was SO strong that I considered an early checkout and renting a hotel room. I felt especially bad for our kids. -No dish washer -No detergent for the washing machine or laundry basket. -The sink upstairs was slow to drain. -The shower leaked onto the floor no matter what we did. -The kitchen had ants. -The cabinets/drawers in the kitchen really need updated. -The basement was awful. Dingy and smelled like mildew. Honestly, nothing would have been a deal breaker for this house except the smell. We couldnt sleep and the A/C units did nothing. I would have put up with everything else and it would have been fine for the price. But the smell was totally unacceptable. Maybe a few air cleaners would help if you have no control over the other tenant in the duplex? There’s definitely no covering it up with plug in air fresheners.
It was clean but there were a few issues first there was no toaster very few towels The upstairs closet had no way to turn on the light and the fan didn't work. Although there was and iron there was no ironing board. One of the best things was it was only 5 blocks from by brothers house on Wyndam Rd. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Next time you need better communication
Really nice and quiet spot, price was great for what we got! Host was always quick to respond and very courteous!
We stayed here for 1 night while we dropped off my son at RIT. The location was fine and the price was right. The house smelled like urine, maybe cat urine. It was awful. The downstairs bathroom sink took a long time for the water to go down. The upstairs toilet clogged after 1 person used it (just #1) and we waited until the next morning for it to be able to be flushed. The upstairs bathroom vanity was held together with clear packaging tape on the bottom. The sofa bed was filled with crumbs when it was opened. The adjacent neighbors were very loud and you could hear them through the wall.
