Cheerful 4 Bedroom Lansing Home

Comfortable stay. Great host

House reaked of cigarette smoke. Was told the house was fully fenced, it was not. There was a neighbor dog off leash that also wondered into the yard. They sent out a maintence person who was going to build the fence regardless of if they needed a permit or knowing the property line. They were going to clean the house so it didnt reek of cigarette by using a de-odorizer, when the stench was so strong that is is in the carpets and walls. They didnt respond when I tried to contact them upon getting to the house and finding these issues. I had to call vrbo who had to contact them to respond. They expected us to stay after telling us how they were going to fix it and it would be a few hours. When we had just drove 800 miles, came at check in time, and had a baby who was ready for bed. Not to mention the cigarette fix was only going to be a masking of the smell, not a true fix. The stress of traveling, having an infant and dogs who were ready to be out of the vehicle, and then us scrambling to find a new place to stay was immense.

The description of the house is inaccurate. The house is a split level with stairs just inside the door. One set leads up to all the bedrooms and the other set to the living area/kitchen on the lower level. The AC did not cool the house.

Everything was lovely. Host was very accommodating!

Great place to stay close to everything.

Nice, quiet suburban neighborhood 20 minutes from MSU. Four bedrooms, two with kings, one with two bunk mattresses and one with six bunk mattresses (2 triples). Nice furnace (it was chilly outside). Large backyard with fire pit and picnic table. Comfortable living room furniture. Small table for meals. Newly and nicely redecorated. Overall, we were very happy and definitely would stay here again. Some small issues that did not affect our stay. These are more feedback to the host then real complaints. In one king bedroom, the bed frame is starting to come apart. If you sit on the foot of that bed it teeter-toters toward the floor. There are two large TCL TVs, but only one control and power cord for TCL. The TCL in the living room worked but was not configured with the Roku email address. The TCL in the king bedroom looks to be internally broken and should be replaced. There was a small fan and washcloth left in the tub when we arrived and under the beds wasn't cleaned. We missed finding salt, pepper and non-dairy creamers in the kitchen. Trash cans in the bedrooms would be helpful.
