Chatuge Lakefront Home, Premium Lot with Amazing Lake & Mtn Views 5 min to Town

Great location on the lake and accommodations are excellent.

Another relaxing beautiful stay! Caught a nice size catfish, fed 5 people. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking and baking (except a cookie sheet). The fireplace made it very cozy when it got too cold and rainy. Saw an eagle take a fish right off the dock while lazing on the sofa watching the lake.

Home was all we had hoped for. Setting was perfect, lake front was a plus for us. Well stocked with all we need, view from bedroom was superior. We hope to return over the summer

Beautiful lot and lake access. Unfortunately house smelled musty, couldn't use the fireplace and gas stove because they had no gas, Outdoor firepit was full of yard debris, and the outdoor grille was infested with white mold and therefore unusable. Also master bedroom has no door on one side (former living room). Beautiful views from the rooms. We took two hours to clean up the firepit so grandkids could have smores!

Lovely place to stay right on the water with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Easy access to town with a paved road thru the neighborhood. Please note if you are disabled there is a side door that offers easy access to house with 0 steps. But the house is not an open floor plan and may be difficult to traverse with a wheelchair or scooter.

The property is beautifully located on a nice part of Lake Chatuge with beautiful Mountain views. The rental provided everything one could need for a family. Beds are super comfortable and the home is conveniently located to grocery store, restaurants and activities. We would gladly rent here again…highly recommended. Thank you Katherine!

Beautiful view, clean and cozy throughout with very comfortable beds. We all enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again. We had everything we needed. It was a busy week for us, but we were able to get some much needed rest and relaxation. Thanks for some good memories!

We had a wonderful week!!! We love the house and lots of seating outside on covered porch and deck!Master bed room is great when you wake you are looking right out to the lake! Same in living room! And what a treat to have a heated bathroom floor!!!

We enjoyed this lake front beautiful rental home very much! It is not only a Happy Place but feels like paradise for us. The morning view is incredible, it looks surreal each day.The location is great, easy to get to restaurants and grocery store.We will come back again!

Another absolutely amazing stay at “Our Happy Place”. This is our third time staying and I will be booking again just as I did last year when we returned home. Highly recommend! Everything is absolutely beautiful!

A happy place indeed! It had everything plus some to enjoy Lake Chatuge! Gorgeous views of the lake and mountains from living room and two bedrooms, gas fireplaces inside, huge oak and poplar for shade on the lawn. Furnishings were comfortable and elegant; giant crystals well-placed. Kitchen is in great shape for cooking anything except cookies. Appliances all worked great, plus a cast iron pan, good knives, plenty of counter space. Everything we needed to enjoy the many moods of the lake as a storm moved through. Truly a happy place whether laying abed watching the lake with a flickering fire beside or fishing from the dock that's an easy walk down hill. Looking forward to coming back, Hiawassee is a sweet little town.P.S. Ground floor of house and paved path to docks are wheelchair-worthy, even the shower, though the toilet area is tight.

My Happy Place lake house had everything you could need and want for a relaxing, comfortable stay. The views were outstanding from every location of the property, inside and out. We had the absolute best time!

Beautiful Lake home! The home was extremely warm and inviting. The entire back of the home overlooking the lake has floor to ceiling windows that make the view amazing from inside including the living/dining area, master bedroom, and one of the upstairs bedrooms. The outdoor space is beautiful , you can enjoy meals while overlooking the lake on the large wood deck with plenty of seating for everyone!! There are also two other seating areas along the back of the home one with a loveseat and the other with two big comfy chairs, that are the perfect places to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. The fire pit in the backyard is in the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the lake and some s’mores . It is an effortless walk down the gorgeous pathway through the backyard and there are two docks that you can sit on to enjoy being right on the water. We stayed late October when the leaves were changing, and the view of all of the colors surrounding the lake was amazing. The hosts were super responsive to any questions that we had an extremely accommodating for anything that we asked about. There were many amazing features to the house but personally for us, the master bedroom with large gas fireplace and a king size extremely comfortable and cozy bed with the view from bed into the lake on the cold evenings and the mornings with coffee in bed Was magical.

We had perfect weather all week . Lake Chatuge is our favorite place . This home has a great view with lots of water off of dock .

Great property. The place was exactly as advertised - pleasant and warm. Even the neighbors were warm and inviting. Katherine was very informative and helpful during the process. Want to come back with others for another stay in the future.

We have stayed at a “hike up the hill” type rental and a “cross the street cozy (small) “ type rental. This is our 2nd time renting Katherine Bevers home and we love it. I sit on the covered porch and enjoy watching the teens fish or swim off the 2 docks. The large picture windows have great views of the lake and mountains. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans ( with nice heavy bottoms). Also there are several large bowls, stainless steel and plastic. Non stick frying pans were in good shape. No crockpot but there is an air fryer. Catherine quickly resolved the one small issue we had with garbage pickup. This was definitely “Our Happy Place.” For a week anyway!
