Charming Townhome w/ Golf Cart at Sandestin

The home was very nice and clean it sits on the lake with a beautiful view. The kitchen was stocked well and there were a lot of amenities to accommodate our stay. The only reason we gave 3 starts is because we rented this unit based on it having a golf cart. First of all they wanted a $500.00 incidental hold and then they charged a $500 fee that was supposed to be credited in 14 days for the golf cart. We were told there was also a daily charge for the use of the golf cart if it had been working, somehow I must have missed that in the fine print. However, the golf cart had brake problems that wasn’t able to be repaired during our stay. The grinding was so bad this couldn’t have just started it was already a problem before we arrived. The front desk said they inspect the golf carts but, they didn’t drive it. We really were looking forward to using the golf cart for convenience especially since we had other family members staying in the same resort. We figured it would be easier to visit on the cart since parking is limited. So, make sure if you’re using the golf cart you are aware of the charges and it’s working properly. That was really our only complaint which was a BIG deal for us. We never would have rented the unit had we known the golf cart wasn’t working especially not for the price we paid. We looked over more reasonable units because there was no golf cart. We weren’t accommodated for inconvenience which was a bummer other than the golf cart everything was great.

We've stayed in this particular Tivoli townhouse twice now. The place is clean, comfortable and convenient to everything. Guest aren't allowed much beachfront access unfortunately. There are too many beach service umbrellas and chairs, which makes it difficult for people who bring their own stuff to find a spot. Too much space reserved for the condos.

This home is a beautiful and relaxing place to enjoy time away with family. Plenty of beach gear and two bikes were available, which was an added benefit!

Place is beautiful. Missed having a Keurig. Having a golf cart was superb! Bring throw blankets - there were none. We stayed from Sunday 9/12 - Sunday 9/19. Our BIGGEST concern was that we could NOT get into the main gate starting Tuesday. Each time I called, Susie would tell me that the gate code was correct, we weren't entering it in correctly. We had to put it in slower or press the #'s harder. I even send a video showing us entering the code SLOWLY. Wednesday it was storming, we got soaked trying and re-trying the code. Still to be told that I was lying. Tues, Wed, Thurs & Fri the only way we could get into the gate was for one of us to walk to our place, get the golf cart or our vehicle, go to the out gate and let it start opening, back up so we could drive into the out. VERY FRUSTRATING to say the least. But to be told I was lying was NOT okay. Finally, on Friday evening I was told that the code DID change!!!! Imagine that! A manager FINALLY called me after our check-out Sunday and said she was sorry. But someone NEEDS to tell Susie that she owes us a sincere apology herself. This issue could have and should have been resolved on Tuesday or Wed at the latest.

The unit is a nice layout and in good proximity to the beach and pool. However, the unit was not very clean. The vents were very dirty, windows needed washing, and there was still a lot of dust. The first floor is nicely updated, but upstairs the carpet is very worn and the bathrooms need updates. The bar for the shower door made it difficult to get in and out of for the upstairs bathrooms. Also, we saw spiders, and one person in our group was bit. The property management was not responsive. We were never given the correct pool code. Also, our invoice had some unauthorized charges upon checkout.

Property was clean. The space was large and updated. Would stay here again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful property with very nice amenities. We had a few issues but they resolved in 24 hrs. The golf cart and beach accessories made the trip an success! My family and I look forward to staying again!

We have been coming to Sandestin,every year for the last 30 years. This property is really laid out nicely. Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again. Only 1 suggestion, Keurig coffee maker please

Townhouse was quiet and clean, with comfy beds and fantastic location. Use of the golf cart was fun and perfect way to enjoy the resort. Never could find the garage door remote opener despite asking property management.

Not familiar with the area - would have preferred to book closer to Destin, where most of the activities and restaurants we wanted to go to were. Check-In was lengthy and with the Resort (not a homeowner). Numerous forms to sign and they wanted a credit card for just in case. Insurance was bought so this wasn't necessary - plus VRBO already had this on file. Bellhop was called to lead us to the home within the resort - he got lost because the front desk left our critical information as to where the home was. Missed the first sunset because the check-in process was so lengthy and the bellhop incident. Home was as advertised, nicely decorated with beachy decor, but could use a better cleaning. Black finger prints on walls and doors. Ice machine ran all night long (noise kept us up) and didn't even produce any ice. Machine was broken, water was all over the floor and had to call maintenance. Kitchen was nice to have but scarce in its supplies. The one dishcloth provided was used to mop up soaked floor - and luckily we purchased paper towels for the rest. Resort felt safe and the beach was nice, but crowded due to the adjacent Hotel resort taking up all of the beachfront with its rental chairs. A golf cart was provided with this home but it is very limited as far as where it can get you (Sandestin Resort only). All-In-All a good vacation was had, but will definitely chose a different location if we come back.
