Tucked behind native cedar trees along the north-end oceanfront avenue on Pawleys Island, this cozy second-row beach house offers an affordable option to rent only the first floor during the off-peak time of year.

Steeped in southern charm, time-stamped by original shiplap and beadboard, heart-pine floors, old-fashioned window canopies and classic Charleston green trim on white exterior, this vintage 1940’s homealso provides plenty of modern conveniences and comfort.

Guests reserving only the first floor (Lower Deck) have full access to all outdoor home amenities for their private use, including both screened front porches where the ebb and flow of the nearby surf sets the clock to island time.

On the Lower Deck, the open-concept common areas provide a fully equipped, updated kitchen as well as dining and sitting areas. The primary bedroom with king bed is in the front. Two more bedrooms and an updated full bath are accessed on the other side of the central kitchen where an additional sink and stacked washer/dryer are located.

Separate outdoor stairs provide access to each front porch and the back decks are accessible via a shared staircase. On ground level are two enclosed outdoor showers with rain shower head and hot/cold taps, hammock, grill, covered parking, and fenced yard.

When the Lower Deck is rented, the Upper Deck (top floor) remains unoccupied as a courtesy.

BEACH / CREEK ACCESS: Approx. 2-minute walk. Leaving the driveway on Atlantic Ave, head south three doors down or head north four doors down for beach access. The nearby Third Street public boat launch is perfect for launching a Jon boat and kayaks to explore the beautiful tidal creek.

LENGTH OF STAY: Flexible timeframes are available outside of the peak summer season. Last minute stays over peak summer/fall weeks for “first floor only” stays may be considered. Monthly winter rental inquiries are welcome. NOTE: When only the first floor is rented, the other floor remains unoccupied as a courtesy.

PAWLEYS ISLAND: Generations of vacationing families, originally drawn by the rejuvenating salty sea air, now find the signature charm and casual character of the island just as alluring.     This house was just a short walk to the beach in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable space. Perfect for our needs. We enjoyed it very much!
