All cleaning policies meet or exceed CDC standards and recommendations. Our team wears new masks, gloves and shoes covers each time they enter home to prepare it for a new stay. We clean and disinfect all hard surfaces and high-touch items such as appliance handles, light switches, door knobs, remote controls, etc. We also clean and disinfect all dishes/glassware, silverware, bedding, towels and other linens as well as tubs and toilets. Meredith Lodging has added the extra measure of a pre-check-in inspection to make sure all of our cleaning and disinfecting procedures are complete and to our standard before you arrive.
Once it passes inspection, your home sits empty until you arrive for your contact-free check-in. Additionally, if your home features a private hot tub, rest assured it is disinfected, treated and cleaned thoroughly after each departure so that you and your guests can enjoy it with peace of mind during your stay.

This was a lovely house for a weekend at the beach. It was clean, comfortable, close to the beach, and had all the amenities we needed. The only downsides were that that the batteries in one of the smoke detectors were low and it beeped, so we disconnected it, and one bathroom lightbulb was out. Seems like these should have been noticed by maintenance. But overall, we were very satisfied and would probably stay here again. The view was great, the beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was fast. A great place to hang out and relax.
The house was comfortable and in a great location. I would recommend getting a few more blankets and bedding. The kitchen was very well stocked. They have a wood-burning stove, but no firewood. I would recommend stocking with firewood, or letting people know they need to bring their own. For the price, I would recommend more amenities, but it was in a great location.
This was our second stay with our dog. The beach access is great, just a 30 second walk and the dog is happy. The weather was beautiful and warm for November. Spent hours on the beach each day. And, we were able to leave the door to the deck open while cooking dinner and the dog could go in and out as she wanted.
Still don't want to do this
The location is great, as it’s right across from a beach access and a short walk to the store and Proposal Rock. The house was clean and cute. But. There was zero soap in the house (except for laundry and dishwasher soap) - no hand soap, shower soap, dishwashing soap and no sponge to clean the counter or pots with. When I called the property manager (left a message), they texted back that the cleaning crew would drop some off “at some point.” At the end of the following day when nothing had arrived, I texted them to say I had to go buy some (borrowed some from neighbors and drove to Lincoln City to get the rest) — cleaning crew never dropped any off and I didn’t get a reply or an apology from the property management. That, coupled with the fact the linens are threadbare (there were multiple holes in the sheet on our bed), I won’t be booking this house again. It’s too bad, because the house itself is really cute with a great bank of windows to view the ocean with, but next time we’ll stay elsewhere.
We enjoyed the view from the main living area. Short walk to beach This place is clean - as clean as one can get it. But it’s just run down. Upstairs toilet runs, on and off, constantly. Others have complained of this and it’s still a problem. It’s so loud you have to close the bathroom door to be able to have a conversation while sitting in the living room. The oven’s bottom filament is the only that turns on to heat the whole oven, so our food was burned on the bottom. The fridge’s bottom shelf is missing, so the fridge drawers are just sitting at the bottom with nothing holding them up. We were placing a heavy casserole dish on what we assumed was the bottom glass shelf, but it’s not there, so the dish just fell into the vegetable/crisper drawer. Kind of odd. Very musty smell downstairs. We’ve stayed at many other beach cottages and this is next level bad smell.we went into Lincoln city for some fabreeze, which merely covers the smell temporarily. The down stairs bathroom is very old and dingy. The shower doesn’t drain well, so you stand in several inches of water. The bathroom fan needs replacing, it loud and squeaky. The bedding is what I imagine has been here since at least the 1980’s and was the family’s bedding. It’s very old, has nubbins of material that hang on to hair in the dryer so there’s human hairs kinda stuck on it. The towels are also old ones from the owner/family from long ago. Same with all the linens. It’s just kind of gross.
This is the second time staying at this property. Everyone likes it well enough. The location is perfect as it is only a very short walk to the beach. Was clean and well furnished. We did call on a chirping smoke detector and plugged drain. Hopefully they fix it for the next visitors.
Our family had a sweet time in your home, Neskowin is our favorite beach and we loved having a little place of our own for the weekend. It worked great for us.
Definitely would come back
Our family of 7 made ourselves at home at the magical Sea Here the week of April 3-7 2023. Even though the home itself is an older one ( we guessed 1940s) we found it to be very enchanting and quite charming!! Everything was exactly how described and the distance to the beach for us personally, was just incredible! A simple hop&skip away. The view from the upstairs living room/kitchen was mezmerizing and it took our breath away! The beds were very comfortable, and bedding clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything I needed to cook with as well as being immaculately clean. The kids all enjoyed the games provided and toys for the sandy beaches. We are not ones to complain, so IF I have to say anything that might be worth looking at, it would be that the showers didn't drain the greatest.. But it all worked out, being that our showers were kept quick yet still enjoyable. One might say that the house had an older possibly musty, slightly moldly smell. But we could easily attribute that to the age of the home and proximity to the water and elements over the many years! It seemed to lighten quite a bit as we opened windows and were in and out exploring the area. :) The check-in/out process was VERY easy and communication with management was as well. All responses were prompt and extremely kind. A special shout out to Rebecca!! She was just wonderful!! I could go on and on about our whimsical vacation in beautiful, magical, Neskowin and our stay at the charming Sea Here. I hope the house will be available again, this summer because we surely would LOVE to return. I will most certainly be booking again with Meredith Lodge!! Thank you!!
Proximity to the beach and walking areas was great. No one can control the weather! The covered entryway was great for the rainy weather. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils. Accommodations were adequate. The view of the ocean and sunset was nice.
What a great location with an ocean view! The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was not crowded. Great house for kids.
We had a great time. Spent four nights with friends and our dog to celebrate birthdays. The beach access was very close, just steps to the beach. Our only complaint is the light over the stove did not work. It was to dark to cook. We had move a lamp from the living room over to the kitchen. We will definitely be back.
Our family has been to the area before and looked forward to walks on the beach and possibly a game of golf at the nearby 9-hole course. It rained off and on so we left the clubs and went to the beach for short walks between the squalls. The house was perfect in size for the four of us, having three bedrooms. We loved the living room with a bit of view of the ocean and the dining room table to play games. The number of television channels was minimal but we watched a movie from the supplied dvd collection to finish off our first night. The nearby restaurant has great pizza and Depot Bay and Newport are within an hours drive. We had a relaxing time at the house and it provided a great respite from the rain and all of our activities.
The location was absolutely perfect. Right across from the beach access. The town is close to other attractions and shopping. The size of the house was good for 5 people. We did have the necessities for the stay. I agree with others about how the kitchen pots and such could be updated. It would be nice to have had newer bedding, like pillow cases and comforters. They are pretty well used and need replaced. There is a odor in the entrance. That got better the longer we were there. I wanna say it is because of the moisture from the ocean. Overall we had a great experience.
We found this Neskowin Village house really comfortable and especially appreciated the easy beach access. We will return!
Neskowin is a quiet, sweet small village with carefully tended homes. Although this home is older and could use some updates, we had everything we needed and it was a short path to the beach. Proposal rock is an icon and we enjoyed exploring the area. Bald Eagle nest also!
