Xcellent place...highly recommended... we will be back
This is a great rental property there are a few cons though Pros: great location with easy entry in and out of the water. Great floating area. Clean and well kept except for the downstairs shower which the floor was grimy. . Close to grocery store. Lots of places to put umbrellas for those who are fair like me. Under deck patio with plenty of seating. Upper deck with a crank awning that gives enough shade for the dining table. Beautiful view. The beds are great. Check in and check out very easy. Cons: the cookware is awful. Also the loft bed situation is questionable. We had a twin and a double. The listing states two twins. When asked they didn't tell us it was a trundle twin till after checkout. Also if you pulled the trundle out I don't think it would be easy to move around the loft. All considered we would rent again.
The Hut was very clean, simply, but amply, appointed, and a great getaway. One note for the owners-the view and property are undersold by the photos. Both are gorgeous!! :-)
This house was nice but I expected more comfortable stay for the price paid. The sleeping arrangements weren't quite as described. Bedroom 1 has a double bed (not King) and Bedroom 2 also has a double bed (not queen). More substantially, our kids who were initially sleeping in the loft quickly discovered that; there are no blinds covering the floor-to-ceiling windows so wake-up time was when the sun rose and shone brightly into the loft; the sleeping area (loft) is really part of the main living area so it wasn't feasible for them to go to sleep before it's quiet in the kitchen/living room on the main level. The dishwasher did not clean dishes (I had pics to send to property management but then learned they must know this already). I initially thought the cleaning people had not run it before our arrival but discovered it just doesn't have any pressure to run water over dishes. It's more a steamer I guess so we resorted to hand-washing most things except for the drinkware (and even then, you could only put short glasses in there. the taller ones didn't get cleaned) The community is gated which was nice but our code did not work. We had to call and be given a different code for the gate and for the house. So don't arrive for check in too late in case you need to call to be let in. We rented a boat and were able to dock it on the property. Kids enjoyed two days of boating and tubing. We didn't use the kayaks as kids were freaked out of going in the water at the dock.
Always have a fun time.
We had a great time. It was only an hour away from Midlothian and it was a beautiful weekend. Perfect spot for a quick get away. We were mostly outside the entire time, but at night did enjoy the pool table and having family board game time. Beds were comfy. Kitchen a little tight and a little sparse with utensils and such.....but no biggie, we were there for the lake. Nice place.
Dog hair on sofa, curtains strings hanging n hook on floor reported both . An alarm went off at 1:00 am woke the adults,,had to read on the box what the box was ,, septic alarm a breaker sent it off. The fishing was good n kayaking for young people. Beds so so ,,water is hard . Could use a flat knife not shredded ones to cut veggies. Over all setting was nice ,games n pool table .
This is lake front quiet house with beautiful sunset view. We have a wonderfully time here.
Very nice clean place. The kids enjoyed the fishing, swimming, kayaks, pool table and corn hole. Normally my fishing trip plans they complain about but this time they loved it!! They could wade out or just enjoy fishing from the dock. Enjoyed sitting on the deck with awning out blocking the sun. The grill came in handy for the steaks! Fire pit was awesome. Plenty of chairs for sitting out doors and on dock. Very quiet location. Food Lion about 15 minutes . Would definitely come back again.
Well maintained, right on the lake, kayaks were a bonus. There are a lot of items not listed in the description: lots of chairs for relaxing on the dock and deck, pack and play in the closet, electric griddle and crock pot in the kitchen. We would stay here again.
Beautiful cottage, very comfortable for six people. The cove is protected from boat traffic, which was perfect for kayaking and swimming as well as fishing from the dock. Very large deck area with table, chairs and grill. Pool table was a life saver during a rainy day.
