outstanding place to bring your family on vacation. feels like a home, not a rental
Location of this house is perfect! Steps to beach, beautiful Oceanview from balconies; yet a short drive to downtown Hyannis and access to Cape highway.
Conveniently close to both water and the ferry port.
The house was so convenient to walking on the beach, eating downtown, catching ferries, going to little shops or museums... The view from the upper deck was spectacular for sunrise or sunset. It was wonderful, even in the off season!
No one told me about 2 next door construction projects and one across the street...3 total
The house and location were great! Enjoyed so much, would love to return!!!
Our family had a wonderful time reconnecting for a weeklong vacation. This home is ideally located a short walk to the beach, a bit longer to downtown but still walkable. The kitchen is very well appointed, we enjoyed making meals together and cooking on the grill. There is lots of seating as well as separated areas where kids can play games in the living room, adults can talk around the dining table. I wish there was an additional bathroom upstairs. Six sharing one bathroom was a bit difficult for our group. There is a bit of new home construction happened across the street and also on the corner of the side street.
This was our first time visiting Cape Cod. We were on a girls' long weekend vacation. The location of the property was perfect. It was a quick and easy drive to go to town and catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and have dinner at amazing restaurants (Black Cat and Anejo were our favorites). It was nice to be located mid-cape so we could do day trips to Provincetown and Plymouth. The house was clean and nicely decorated. There was plenty of room. It was nice to have one bedroom on the main level as one of our gals had an injury that made it hard for her to go up the steps. The bedrooms were spacious. The upstairs bathroom was small but clean. The deck provided amazing views! The beach is a close walk. Even though it wasn't beach weather, we still enjoyed walking on the beach and taking in the views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The decor was tasteful and made the place feel cozy. We would highly recommend.
Convenient to the ferries, beach and town. Spacious home accommodates big families.
I recently stayed in this home with 6 other friends for a long weekend together. It served as the perfect home base for our trip! The first floor – with a large living room, dining room, and kitchen – was decorated with fun, nautical decor. The space was perfect for gathering and hanging out. The kitchen was well stocked - the only things we brought were a blender, paper goods, and food. Bedrooms had very comfortable beds and fresh, white bedding. The upstairs bathroom was small, but we made due. The balcony overlooking the ocean and proximity to the beach was the icing on the cake. Hope to return in the future!
We had three generations staying at this house in Hyannis. It is a very short walk to Kalmus Beach and you can see the ocean and feel the breeze from the house. The main living space was great for all 7 of us, the kitchen was just the right size and very well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, baking sheets and cooking utensils. Linens ( and beach towels) were included which is a plus when packing space is at a premium. The back deck had enough seating for us and we enjoyed spending time outside. There were plenty of beach chairs, two umbrellas, beach toys and games and even a cart to drag all of our stuff to the beach. The house was about a mile from the ferry landing and a little more to Main Street. A short drive to multiple grocery stores including Trader Joe's as well as the Cape Cod Mall. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone who wants an escape to the beach with real life close by.
The house is perfectly located just steps away from Kalmus beach which is very warm and kid-friendly. The house is well equipped - beds are comfy, kitchen has every tool imaginable, grill is awesome, board games, beach toys and beach equipment are abundant. Towels, linens are all provided and very clean. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!
We appreciated the thoughtfulness put in arranging the house - beach towels in a basket, plenty of bath towels, many closets, well stocked kitchen - everything was great!
