    A character apartment with arched ceilings and thick walls on first floor of original village house. Ideal for two people. Well equipped, including mosquito netting over the windows. Shaded terrace, looking down over the village street but quite private, screened by trees; great view down to I'Ile Rousse. A real lived-in village. Restaurant/hotel a minute's walk down the street, plus more local bar/restaurant. Also specialist Corsican food shop from which you can order daily baguettes and croissants. Unfortunately small grocery shop up the road was closed while we were there (late September) as also was a recommended bar/restaurant. Lovely local walks from village - to Santa Antonino/Aregno, or to Monticello. Easy driving access to L'Ile-Rousse (then walk out to lighthouse) and Calvi. Another day out - drive to Calenzana and walk over ridge into Bonifato valley. Unfortunately the week we were here it was too windy for swimming. Be aware that a returnable deposit is required - we found it easiest to pay via HomeAway beforehand rather than cash on arrival. A place we would return to.
