Do not stay here! The house had not been cleaned properly. There was food and candy wrappers all over the carpet. There were bugs in the shower. The back of the house had an aweful smell. There is NO air conditioning! We had every window in the house open and the front door just to get air flow through the house. At 9:30 at night we were still sweating, so we had to sleep on the couch. We couldnt have the fans on high because they clanked terribly. We had instructions to take the trash out for Wednesday pickup. When we got there the trash can was over flowing and garbage all over the ground. We contacted vrbo, told them what happened, they contacted property owner. They said they would have their personal cleaner come and get the trash. They never got the trash. We had all of our trash on the counters and floor. I didnt even stay the entire time. Left a day early. Couldnt stand it anymore. And they will not give a refund!
The manager was responsive initially. She did have someone come the next day to clean up the trash that was strewn across the entry upon our arrival. She supposedly sent someone over to evaluate/resolve the sewer smell but it was not resolved and we never heard from her again. This house should not be rented in its current state. Prior to booking, I was assured by the manager, that the home was in good condition and all repairs were complete. This is not the case. None of the window screens were installed, there was no functioning porch light, there was one old scratched pan that worked on the convection stove, 2 others that did not. No way to prepare a meal! The ceiling fan in one room stopped working and in another made loud noises. The thing that made this house awful was the disgusting sewer smell in the bathroom that permeated throughout the house. We tried to find someplace to move but the county fair caused everything to be booked. I have requested a refund but am being ignored by the manager. I will be contacting vrbo directly.
This house is not yet ready for renting, they are still working on the property and house. There was construction dust on everything, spiders, flies, moths and other visitors in the house. The lock box did not work, no key available and the front door was left ajar. light switches were upside down and most did not work, bag of trash left in kitchen, lacked many amenities, master bath had tub fixtures laying in bathtub and unusable. Kitchen sink hot water on cold water side, sink leaked, kitchen drawers & cupboards had trash and construction stuff in them but very little else. Window in dining area was replaced with a piece of plastic, very cold with only space heaters. Molding not attached in bedroom. Nice stove and everything new. May be a good rental when it is completed.
