Aiken, South Carolina
A fabulous three bedroom, three bath home with pool available for short or long term rent. An artist's home filled with photography exhibited in the most prestigious museums all over the world. Enjoy a carefully curated space located in the historic winter colony district. Only four blocks from the Willcox. Five minutes to Aiken Horse Park. The canopy of Live Oaks is steps away. Located on South Boundary. The most beautiful street in Aiken. No pets please. No smoking on premises, indoor or outdoor. This house was built in the 1940’s. It has charm and history, covered with antique rugs from all over the world. But please note, old homes are not for everyone. This property requires an appreciation of art and history.
We loved every minute of our stay.
Charming home in downtown Aiken with beautiful pool and cozy spaces to relax and read as well as entertaining space to gather with friends and family. Loved out stay!
Susan was amazing with her communication… the house is in a beautiful location… we enjoyed coffee in the screened in porch every morning! Overall it was a wonderful stay in a very lovely and friendly town! Thankyou!!
Our tennis team really enjoyed our stay at this house close to downtown Aiken. The location could not have been more perfect. It really felt like we were In the heart of Aiken on beautiful Boundary Lane. We loved the pool! You do share it with another renter but that was not a problem. We loved the layout of the house and the big kitchen. We cooked and played games in the den. I would have liked all the rooms to have king beds or a room with twin beds to accommodate non-couples for better sleeping arrangements but we made it work. The den can be a bedroom as well. The owner is awesome and super communicative over any issues. She had a plumbing issue resolved immediately which was impressive. We hope to come back and stay again next year!
This is a special place. The location is perfect, the hostess/owner is wonderful and the house is special.
Great!
We absolutely LOVED the house! Very tastefully decorated with incredible art throughout, it was ideal for our family to enjoy in complete comfort. My mother in-law particularly liked how well laid-out the kitchen was, (as well as the availability of gourmet-quality cookware and utensils), while we all enjoyed relaxing in the private back yard area under a canopy of towering mature trees. The house is perfectly located on the often-photographed (and most famous) street in Aiken, and is a quick stroll to all of the shopping and restaurants downtown. Susan was such a thoughtful host, too, and was always available to answer any questions as well as offer plenty of suggestions of things we didn't know about in town to do! This was, in a nutshell, a fantastic experience. We'll be back!!
We rented this place and had a family emergency and wasn't able to stay after arriving around 8pm. The owner still hasn't acknowledged our email requesting some sort of refund as we never stayed. There is also a non- refundable property insurance fee which is not shown on the list of fees. The house has no overhead lighting in rooms so we had to use our flashlights to see where we were walking. The house had a very musty old smell and all the furniture is old and the house has a very creepy feeling inside. The photos on VRBO aren't a true picture of what it looks like in person. We were only in the house for about 20 min before we had to leave but I would highly recommend go somewhere else.
Perfect location in Aiken, and a very nice property.
