The owner had some issues with the property that came up a few days from our stay. He went above expectations to get us accommodated and make sure our stay went well.

Spacious, historic home in a quiet neighborhood that is an easy walk to/from Southwestern and the Square. The beds and living area are comfortable and the old porch was lovely in the evening. Those considering staying here should know that this is an ACTIVE construction site. The VRBO summary did not state this when we rented and does not as of the writing of this review. The owner notified us the day that we were driving in from out of state check in - too late to make other arrangements. Several times people were on the property and we were never notified in advance. The backyard is not usable due to the current construction. For remote workers, the wi-fi and cell coverage was unreliable. Minimal kitchen amenities - not set up for those who cook more than basics during their stay.

Lovely old home, spacious, with modern amenities. The backyard is under construction but that didn’t both us at all. I’m looking forward to seeing the final project! Will definitely stay again.

check-in online said three o'clock we didn't get check-in info until 4PM, shortly after that I received a call about leaving some food items in refrigerator. These items were no big deal... Then we get a text about an iPad being left there...didnt find it...that was day one. Then on Friday there were workers in the backyard at 9AM with chainsaws. We werent notified of this? Why were they there during our stay? There was a hatchet left in the backyard. What if we had kids playing out there? Saturday morning my wife heard someone speaking on one of the Alexa. WTH! my daughter was yelling at here to turn the Alexa off. They conversed with owners and told them to turn off and stop listening.... scary that we might have had our entire stay being eavesdropped. This left a very sour taste in our mouths. I wouldn't stay here again. nothing offered for all the things that happened....oh well won't stay here again and wouldn't reccomend

Very comfortable, convenient and clean. The only thing I wished I'd seen was a laminated piece of paper with how to work the locks and thermostat as well as the check out expectations. The check out instructions were emailed, but it's nice to have the printout handy.

Love the huge front porch with two porch swings. Excellent neighborhood not far from downtown Georgetown square. We live in Georgetown and had family visiting from Europe and other parts of Texas. Excellent gathering place.

Our two-week stay was busy, due to one of us having almost daily responsibilities in Austin, but it was great to have this peaceful place to return to and relax. Beautifully decorated with arts, crafts, and antiques--but with modern appliances in kitchen and laundry--this 1916 house has a few quirks but so many delightful features. Great restaurants within walking distance, vibrant and interesting town center, very nice people wherever we went. The hosts were great, and very welcoming to us and our dog. Much appreciated!
