Gorgeous, older home with both a front and screened in porch for lounging. Beautiful gardens and perfectly located. The owners were extremely communicative and the check in process a breeze. Highly recommend.
This was a wonderful peaceful property. We enjoyed staying here very much and hope to come back very soon!
We enjoyed staying here. It was perfectly located for us and although it is an older home it has been been nicely updated. Very homey.
Great older home located in very nice neighborhood. Would stay here again for sure.
Very nice house in a great, quiet neighborhood. Close to lots of nice restaurants, and it was quick and easy to drive into downtown Decatur. Thank you!
Lovely house with several outdoor options. I loved it. I traveled to Decatur for a family graduation. I was already familiar with Decatur, and it’s a beautiful area. Very walkable, friendly people and good places to eat.
We really enjoyed this property. The home was very comfortable, convenient to restaurants and downtown Decatur. The old garden is beautiful.
This property is in a great location in Decatur close to several nice restaurants, but the general condition and cleanliness of the property was not great. To start with the landscaping is seriously overgrown. When we arrived after dark there was no outdoor lighting and the driveway is partially blocked with dead plant limbs. We had to stumble around thought the overgrown landscaping with cellphone flashlights just to get to the front porch. Also saw several dead or partially dead trees and bushes in other parts of the yard and a large amount of junk laying in the back area. The general cleanliness of their inside of the house was OK but the screened in back porch was a horrible mess with cobwebs, dirt and tree pollen everywhere. (Contacted owner for assistance, but had a slow overnight response) We spent about an hour just trying to clean it up enough to host a small Happy Hour for family members that were in town with us. Also noted several things in the house in need of repair like the front storm door, a running commode in the guest bathroom, and torn screens on the back porch. There was also a lot of clutter in the kitchen and laundry room area with items left behind by other guests looked like it had been there for years and noticed some of the coffee cups were chipped (dangerous). In general this property could be great, but it's in serious need of some TLC.
This little home meet all our needs for a visit to family in Atlanta. It was clean, comfy, and quiet and gave us easy access to our daughter's home and a fun walk-able neighborhood and community with restaurants and deli-grocery store. The photos and descriptions were all accurate on the site. The kitchen was basic, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean, linens were high quality, and the dining and living room were cozy. The manager was easy to work with for our reservations. Thanks again for your comfortable little home and we look forward to a future stay during warmer weather where we can see all your wonderful gardens in full bloom. Retired Seattle Couple
We really enjoyed this house for a long weekend visiting our son at Emory. Wonderful to sit and have morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the porch! A wonderful bonus was proximity to Decatur/Oakhurst and being able to walk to coffee shop. Hosts are extremely responsive and great to work with!
This was our second time staying at the oak hurst bungalow. Love it!
Host beyond understanding when we needed some extra check out time. Truly appreciate the kindness.
We had a very nice weekend in a well appointed cottage in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur. We were close to the attractions and restaurants of downtown Atlanta but enjoyed a quiet spot with a beautiful garden. I will definitely be back!
We stayed with friends for a weekend visit and really loved the cottage. It's an older home and very charming. The location is close to several areas with great restaurants and an easy ride to downtown Atlanta. All the essentials for a short visit were provided. We would love to stay again.
Great for visiting Emory, Decatur, Druid Hills. Cozy, clean, and comfortable. 10 out of 10.
Lovely green space!
Great location within walking distance of the golf tournament and downtown Decatur which has lovely shops and restaurants. Amazing landscaping
In town to visit daughter, just right size for three of us visiting her. Great location to walk to restaurants!
Nice bungalow, very quiet neighborhood, close to lots of fun places
We stayed for two nights to bring our daughter to college. The bungalow was perfect.
My husband and I brought our one year old to the Atlanta area to visit family. This rental was exactly what we needed. Was fully stocked and super clean. Our daughter had one room and we shared the other. I needed an iron and they brought it right to me within minutes it seemed! So appreciate that kind of service. :)
Beautiful little cottage and comfortable. Home had spider webs everywhere and outside patio furniture was covered in spiderwebs as well. Kitchen was not stocked and fridge still had food and beverages from previous guest inside. Found baby roaches in the bathroom. Tv channels were limited and no streaming platforms accessible to watch movies. Home was very cute just needs a little more items to make it guest ready.
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy home. It was very welcoming and had everything to make us feel at home. We enjoyed walking to the coffee shops in the neighborhood. The hosts were awesome and very responding to our needs, answering emails super quick. The garden was like a secret garden with beautiful fountains, lush bushes and many secret corners. We loved the house and would book it again. Thank you so much. ?
We loved this little vacation getaway. It totally reminded us of a secret garden. The yard was great with several places to enjoy the peaceful fountains, chirping birds, and beautiful gardens. Great location and neighborhood and great communication with the owners.
Such a sweet place. Well appointed, clean, with fantastic outdoor spaces. Loved it!
