Stayed Jan 7, 2026Sunshine Cottage is in a lovely and quiet residential neighborhood in Manteo. It's a perfect home base for exploring the Outer Banks. The cottage was spotless when we checked in, and the furnishings, provided linens and towels, and nicely equipped kitchen made our stay a breeze. I can't say enough good things about the comfortable beds — so welcome after a long day of activities. The cottage has great water pressure for those who enjoy an invigorating shower. We're not TV watchers when on holiday, but there are three nice sets for those who don't want to miss favorite shows.

Stayed Jun 15, 2025This was a great location. The set up of the home was perfect for us. The master is on one side of the house and the other 2 bedrooms, where our adult children stayed, were on the opposite side. We were all together but had plenty of space. The only quirk (not a deal breaker) is that you have to go through the master bath to get to the bedroom, so there was a bit of coordinating required. We had trouble with the door code checking in but host was super responsive and got us in within minutes.
