Secluded but close to everything.
Pros: - Great location to walk to cute shops and the beach access (with a roundabout walk to not play frogger on the 101) - Plenty of space to accommodate two families - Inside of the property appears newly renovated -Crock pot, air fryer and all the appliances are helpful for meal planning (minus the BBQ-see below) - Privacy was a plus -Responses were quick whenever we reached out. - Very reasonably priced- we appreciated the beautiful touches on the inside (and the couch was so very comfy) -Washer and dryer were excellent for two families enjoying the beach! Cons - We tried to use the BBQ and there was significant mold on the grates and inside. Reached out to property manager and was offered a deep clean. Not sure how that would help.... - Door was hard to get into but quick response from owner got us in. - There are no cleaning supplies there so bring some disinfecting wipes- no vacuum, no cleaner to wipe down counters (a must after cooking) and limited soap (laundry and dish)- They offered to bring a small vacuum on the second day. Beware of ants in kitchen and cupboards! -Deck is slippery and felt unsafe-it's a great outdoor space but needs to be treated and repaired. Exterior is in need of a good sprucing up! -Having to have your own streaming service for a live TV option was rough, especially during football season. Overall, we had a great time on the property and enjoyed our stay over New Years!
Great location, easy access to shops and restaurants, responsive property management. Would definitely stay again.
Secluded and still right in the mist of everything. The Kitchen did not disappoint just bring the Main Food and your all set. Looking forward to next trip. Thank You
Close to the beach in a private setting. Very nice
This is a decent little place to stay but has the potential to be great. I think some things on the listing could be improved so that guests are completely aware of what to expect. Overall, we were comfortable and the house was clean and had all of the essentials for cooking in. My suggestions for the listing would be to include more information about the location. Is it close to beach access? Technically, yes. But it is not very walkable unless you feel safe walking along Hwy 101 with no sidewalks and crossing the highway. It's managable, but not everyone's idea of accessible. Additonally, as a pet-friendly rental, it would be helpful to know that there isn't much in the way of yard for the pet. There is no fenced area for pets so that detail would be nice to know before staying. Additionally, it would be helpful for renters to know that there is another residence on the property. We couldn't tell if anyone was living there during our stay, but the other half of the property is quite junky and uninviting. Finally, it would be nice to have more comfortable seating in the living area for more guests. Our party of 5 couldn't all lounge on the one couch provided. A little more attention to details (ie: broken blinds, a bit of a musty smell) would make this little cottage 5 stars. For our short stay, it worked out alright. Also...a quick shout out to the property manager, Ethan, who got us enough towels when we needed them. Thanks!
This was a really cute place; close to the beach, clean and fun!
This property is perfect. Nice, cozy house but enough room for all. We all enjoyed our stay and will stay here again!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property in Lincoln City. The location was excellent, only a few minutes' walk from the beach and easy access to 101. Also, it was very private. There was even a tiny sunset view over the water. The code entry made it great for multiple families. We found about everything we could need in the kitchen (although it could use a new can opener ?).
This was a great place to do our friend groups yearly trip. The property was clean and the kitchen was extreme well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the house is located so that we were close to everything we wanted to do. There were 5 of us staying here and there was plenty of room and didn’t feel crowded. The seating is kind of limited but we played a ton of board games at the large table. Thanks for a great stay!
House was very nice and clean. Loved that it was secluded back off the main road yet close to town.
Had some problems with initial check in but property manager replied right away and was kind enough to send someone our way to help. Cozy and not far from the beach. An amazing stay!
This house was GORGEOUS. Every thing was very clean, and very nice. The whole house was completely stocked with ANYTHING you might need. Lots of room. The property is away from other houses but your still close to the beach and town. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back again! Thank you SO MUCH!
Went here with my family and had a great time. The location is somewhat secluded and it was very clean and cozy
My friends and I needed a quiet, comfortable get away from the city, and this place was a perfect fit. I spent so much time at the bookstore around the corner. Would stay at again.
Our family enjoyed staying at the Hideaway on Dune! The location was excellent - very close to public beach access and short driving to all Lincoln City has to offer, especially J's Fish & Chips! The house was clean and well decorated and tucked away in a nice peaceful setting. It was close enough to the beach to walk, but you really can't cross Highway 101 easily on foot there. But literally 1-2 minutes by car. We loved it!
Was great to find a place that excepted dogs. Was surprised it was a duplex but really didn’t matter. Would definitely stay there again
Everything well done except odor in main bedroom
I will comeback to this property in the future.
We had a great stay. Walking distance to the beach. Place has everything that you need. We would like to come back someday. Please upgrade the mattresses though, we slept on the bunk beds instead.
Lee were under the impression that is was a house, but it was like a duplex. We were wanting a stand alone house. It was clean and quiet but felt like we had to be super quiet because of a person being right on the other side of the wall. Would recommend putting another couch in the living room so guests can be more relaxed. As we couldn’t get real comfortable with 3 on the couch. There was no instructions on how to use the tv. We had to call the property manager to figure that out. Also, we got 2 different codes to access the front door and no instruction on the fact that we needed to flip the nob after putting in the code. It was clean and quiet and the decor was nice. Just would of been nice to know that it wasn’t an actual house.
