The Bart Inn was beautifully appointed with everything that we could have asked for to make our stay in the 1000 Islands fantastic! It was quite literally our home-away-from-home! We were lacking for absolutely nothing. If we didn’t bring it, they had it and it was available for us to use. Our daughter got married over the weekend and we needed a place to come back to during the wedding preparations and after, where we could just relax and unwind. It very easily accommodated my wife and I, 2 of our daughters, our son-in-law and our 2 grandchildren. We did not feel cramped at all. We had plenty of space. The kids played games in the front-room, while I had a conversation with my son-in-law in the kitchen, and my wife and daughters relaxed and chatted in the living room. The description does not do it justice as the owners, Nancy & Paul, have thought of absolutely everything! The house and the property are in pristine condition. Everything was (very) clean, neat and tidy. The kitchen was stocked with far more than we would have expected. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was new. To say that what we paid was a good value for our experience, is a gross understatement! AAA rating all-the-way! We’ll be back…

A group of 7 friends traveled to Clayton for the Antique Wooden Boat Show. Paul and Nancy were great to communicate and were super nice. The house was immaculate and had lots of towels, goodie snacks and amenities. We all felt at home and enjoyed the house. We sat out on the front porch with our cocktails and watched boats on trailers go by. Lots of fun. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at the Bart Inn was a wonderful experience. Paul and Nancy were delightful hosts - very thoughtful in their communications with us and in their welcoming, hospitable nature. Fresh flowers and a bottle of red wine, snacks, and Keurig cups awaited us upon our arrival. We felt as though they were extending to us not only a stay at their lovely home (not a house, but a home), but a window into the experiences that have made their time in Clayton memorable. Specifics on the house - cleanest one we've ever stayed in, very comfortable beds, kitchen stocked with lots of utensils, cookware, bakeware, etc., bicycles to ride into town, basketball hoop on the garage, and lovely porch furniture. One thing to note - the home sits on James St, which is the main street into Clayton. The Bart Inn does sit back a bit off the road, but traffic noise is heard more so in the morning during the rush (if you can call it that) down into town. We were delighted to stay in this home for our stay in Clayton. Fantastic experience!

This was our 2nd time renting the property. Our stay was as fabulous this trip as it was for our previous trip. Paul and Nancy are wonderful hosts. They were in communication with us before and during our stay. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spacious. We traveled with 3 children under 7, and there were games, activity books, crayons, and toys to keep them occupied! There are playgrounds within walking distance. The kids loved the bedroom with the bunk. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the conveniences of your own home, and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The location is close enough to walk to the village. We are already talking about coming back next year.

Words cannot express how fabulous the Bart Inn was for our family vacation. The home is spotless, historic, and well appointed. The kitchen was amazingly stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The beds are some of the most comfortable we have ever slept in while on vacation. Bart Inn has games (indoor and outdoor), bikes, a grill, nice lawn and of course the porch where we spent time each day laughing and reconnecting with loved ones. The only thing to be aware of (and not a criticism) but all the tables in the home are the high-top variety, which sometimes can be difficult for folks with mobility issues. The home is in a great location to explore everything the Thousand Islands area has to offer. We did day trips to Canada, Alexandria Bay, the Castles, Boat tours, museums, golf, Historic Sites, and an endless variety of shopping, wineries, breweries, distilleries, parks and restaurants. We have rented vacation homes for over 30 years all over the eastern half of the country and this home topped our list! Thanks to our wonderful hosts Paul and Nancy who couldn't have been more helpful, kind and accommodating. We would definitely recommend the Bart Inn - it was a home away from home.
