Stayed Sep 2, 2025The fenced yard for our pet is what attracted us to the listing. However, the yard was overgrown with catus and stickers and was not comfortable for our dog to be in. The Kanab area was lovely and convenient for trips to Zion and Bryce. Wish there had been a pair of scissors and sharper knives. Overall, it was very comfortable for the two of us.

Stayed Jun 13, 2025Studio apartment was enough room for my husband and me. Cute outside art work on the casita walls and in a very quiet neighborhood. It was a perfect location close to the activities we wanted to do in the area.

Stayed May 15, 2022First I would like to say that who ever painted the house did an absolutely beautiful job. The detail is gorgeous. It is just the right size for 2 people. With that being said there are some not so great things about it. Trying to find the place is so hard. We feel that you should give better directions. We used Google & our GPS and still it took us forever to find it & we only found it because of the way the house was painted. There are too many Kane streets in that area and neither of the two above mentioned directions helped at all. We think that if you put up a sign between the two wood posts there with the address would be very helpful along with better directions from you.. The fenced yard is nice but it is definately NOT small dog friendly or dog friendly. It would be nice if it was designed to be a lot more pet friendly, not so much natural landscape, meaning to much shrubery and cactuses. The fence should probably be brought out to the end of the patio area to where the gate opens onto the patio so the pets could go in there without having to be on leash. The grill that is there is really in bad shape and would be great to see a newer one in its place. I was looking forward to using the grill but didn't because of the shape it was in. The pictures we seen of the place didn't show that there was a house literally right outside the front door of the studio. Not sure if they are the owners or maybe renters of that house but a little disappointed about that. As far as inside, it was clean, fairly well supplied with what you need, after finding everything but the cooking pans could stand to be replaced, those there everything stuck to and even after washing them they didn't look clean. The shower is a little small but usable and that was good. It looks fairly new and updated. Very little furniture, which we didn't have a problem with but the bed moves when ever you sit on it and the mattress is really bad, would recommend that being replaced. You state you don't want pets on the furniture and the only real furniture that pets can be on is the bed, we brought all our own bedding, sheets, pillows and blankets. There is no other furniture that pets could get on. All in all we had a very pleasant stay, but it wasn't really what the listing said it is. A little bigger TV would be good considering it is so far from the bed which is what you have to sit on to watch it, granted we only watched it at night after coming back.

Stayed Apr 17, 2022Overall once I found the place, its charm grew on me. But first some downsides. After a 6 hour drive it is frustrating to not be able to locate the property. I used apple maps, google maps, and Waze, but ended up having to call the mgr. One side of the home the electricity didn't work so no TV. A worker was sent quickly but he couldn't fix it either. Miraculously it worked the following morning (hmm electrical short???). The same thing happened on my last day, no electrical on that wall. TV was antenna, no cable. wifi was useless, the fenced yard was full of weeds/foxtails so my dog couldn't really use it. I DO hope the owners take this into consideration and fix these things. However the location was beautiful. We took lots of walks which we enjoyed and it was easy to get to National Parks which was my reason for travel. Would I stay here again? Only if I knew these things were fixed.

Stayed Apr 1, 2022This is a cute little casita, looks bigger in the photos. I was a bit disappointed that the yard was fenced with no direct access to the casita. We had to go around back & let them in a gate. Not the end of the world but not what I expected. The bed was ok. but when you sat on it, it moved across the floor & it squeaked every time you moved in bed. The can opener didn’t really work & neither did the peeler. The hot water pressure in the bathroom sink was almost nil. There were very sparse supplies. The kitchen had a full set of pots & pans & other things but had no dish cloth, the cutlery was camping grade or worse, the closet had 4 hangers & was full of cleaning supplies so limited use. The drawers already had things in some of them too. The worst thing was it was soooooo hard to find. We followed the instructions & used google maps but the # at the end of the driveway is soooo small & hard to see we passed it twice!! It would be nice if the owners made bigger numbers or a sign. All in all, our stay was ok. It was lovely to sit outside on the patio in a nice rural setting. I guess I just expect a little more for my money.

Stayed Oct 23, 2021This casita is a brilliantly decorated standalone studio apartment in a 2 acre sagebrush meadow south of Kanab. The exterior walls are covered with an excellent mural of the plant and animal life native to Kanab. Despite the presence of the owners in a separate home on the 2 acre property, the ambience is that of a natural setting, in which you will be serenaded by birds and coyotes as the sun rises and sets over the crimson cliffs. There is a large fenced yard with natural vegetation behind the apartment. Because the interior of the casita is cozy, it heats up quickly with the provided heaters and should cool nicely with its A/C during summer. Internet is fast and there is a smart TV with streaming. The refrigerator is half-sized, but very clean and functional. The great restaurants of Kanab are 5 minutes drive away, and this neighborhood puts those with appropriate vehicles within a 1-3 hour drive to amazing sights in Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Grand Staircase, Vermillion Cliffs, etc. Highly recommended!

Stayed Aug 31, 2021Aside from having a hard time finding the place, this is a wonderful little house for one or two people. The views from the property are stunning, the yard is beautiful, and the house is clean and very cute. We really appreciated being there and hope to visit again sometime soon.

Stayed Aug 18, 2020We wanted something for a stay on our way to Wyoming. It was a lovely little place and we enjoyed it. The listing really should have had the size of the refrigerator in it. And the only problem I had with the cleanliness was the floors could have been cleaner under the bed. There were lots of big dust bunnies.

Stayed Sep 24, 2019So pleased with this lovely property! Highly recommend. Private, cozy and well stocked with little touches in the kitchen (olive oil and other pantry basics) and bathroom (soap and shampoo and conditioner) that make it seem very homey. Comfortable bed and bedding.
