House was very cute and in a perfect location. I didn’t like that there is only one door in and out of the house. Also could use some more comfortable living room furniture. It did have everything we needed for a short stay. We did meet the owner because we arrived a little early. She was doing yard work and was very nice and willing to help in anyway she could.

We are foodies and the kitchen was wonderful. We had people over for shrimp from Sea Eagle market. The only suggestion I would have for the kitchen is a shrimp de-veiner as we forgot ours. The bike trail is a short distance and the morning views of the marsh were wonderful.

The cottage was perfect! It provided plenty of room and was stocked with all the essentials. Loved the kitchen! Location was very convenient to downtown for shopping and dining options. We used the provided pass to visit Hunting Island State park. It was our favorite day!! Our last evening was chilly so we took advantage of the backyard fire pit. Truly enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and attractive. The salt marsh behind the house attracts egrets and adds to the peacefulness of the neighborhood. The interior is very clean and comfy. The kitchen is very well equipped. Julie, our host was quick to respond to questions and very pleasant. We really enjoyed the Beaufort area. We would happily return to Beaufort and to this home.

We were on a photography workshop and was there mostly at nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only thing I want to mention is the dryer vent was full to the max when I went to use it and had to clean it out.

The host was very welcoming and made it clear we could reach out anytime if we needed anything. Our stay was originally Tuesday to Friday, but extending it by two extra days was no problem at all, which we truly appreciated. Our son was graduating from Parris Island, so the location was perfect. They even provided a Hunting Island Beach park pass, which saved us from paying entrance fees. The backyard was my favorite part of the stay, and all amenities were in great working condition. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Great location with nice marsh view. Didn't use outdoor space due to cold snap. Queen beds were comfortable. Twin trundle was fine for a smaller sized person. Towels and sheets were clean. Kitchen had everything needed for at home cooking but there are many restaurants very close to house. Host was very helpful with reservation process, etc. Hunting Island pass was a very nice perk! Neighborhood is very conducive for walking and accessing Spanish Moss Trail. Thanks for a nice Christmas away from home.

This cottage had a terrible smell! Stayed first night and had to bear it, called host they came and sprayed but was still uncomfortable the second night. Reached out to host and explained we didn’t want to stay the third night due to the smell although it was better it was very not desirable. Home smelt like shrimp had been left and rottened. Host refused to refund for third nights stay although it was out of our control. I would not suggest the stay. I have all messages between myself and host where we tried to work out situation and her acknowledging

For my Birthday I wanted to return to the town of my formative teenage years after 50 years. The location of this cottage could not have been better for us. While also visiting family, who are renovating their home, we searched for a convenient location to get to their home as well as downtown Beaufort. We could not have been more pleased with the home which is perfect and the location is the most peaceful we could have imagined. We feel a kindred spirit with the owner as we are Prolon users and there was copious amounts of tea ready for us. We got up the first morning to run the quiet neighborhood and in a very short distance were on the Spanish Moss rail trail. The home is close enough to downtown to walk which was a huge plus. There is no shortage of good places to eat and having a park pass was a huge bonus because we were able to collect some really nice driftwood to take home. We did not get to use all of the amenities offered but there was no shortage for sure. We will be returning to Beaufort in the near future and without question we will seek out this cottage every time.

We liked the location. My husband made friends with the next door weekends only neighbor and biked from the house daily (he travels with his bike). I loved that there was a bike available to use in the shed (altho I didn’t end up using it). The downtown part of Beaufort would be very accessible by bike. You could walk too but when it’s hot, it was easier to just drive. We had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, there were no weird smells like we have encountered at other places, no issues with mold. We enjoyed having ceiling fans. We never had reason to contact the owner nor they us so I can’t tell you what communication would be like. The view outside in backyard of the marsh is beautiful. But bring bug spray! :)We would def stay again.

The kitchen was beautiful, the marsh views were nice, and the neighborhood was quiet & peaceful. There were a few maintenance issues which the owner responded to quickly. I appreciated the use of the bikes and outdoor grill. I felt like some things definitely needed to be updated, including the carpeting which was worn and stained. The living room wasn't comfortable or inviting, and the beds weren't very comfortable. I also felt like there was stale energy in the house that needed to be cleared out, possibly because there is no back door & I didn't want to open the windows due to bugs in screens. But that is just my opinion. Those things were just a little disappointing since the stay was a little pricey. But we enjoyed our time in Beaufort, thank you for accommodating us.

My wife and I decided to get away to Beaufort for a long weekend 4/11 - 4/14 and stayed at this property. It was a quaint little home and was as described on the listing. Communication before check in was fantastic and responses to questions were answered quickly. The property is a quick and easy drive to Bay St./Waterfront Park, as well. The one thing my wife and did not know on what we had planned to be a quiet weekend in Beaufort was that the Beaufort Air Show was taking place across the marsh at the Air Station the weekend we were in town. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to see the Blue Angel's and other F-16, F-18 soaring through the sky and breaking the sound barrier. The couple the owns the home beside this property were kind enough to invite my wife and I over to watch from the fairly new dock that extends out in to the marsh for a better view. I would definitely stay at this property again the next time my wife and I make a trip to Beaufort.

The thermostat needed to be operated by the host remotely. To switch between heat and cool required a passcode that was not included in the manual. We contacted the host. It did get switched but we never could regulate a comfortable temperature at night to sleep. We messaged through VRBO and placed a call leaving a message. The message was returned and we walked through the issue.
